Welcome to this guided sleep meditation,

Called the Den-Making Boy.

Let's begin with preparing your pillow.

Squeeze tight,

Making a dreamy pillow.

Settle into bed now.

Closing one eye for the boy.

Closing the next eye for den-making fun.

Let the eyes inside go from corner to corner,

Corner to corner,

As if you were in a den yourself.

Does your bed sometimes feel like a den?

A place to escape and dream anything you wish.

Let the eyes settle into a great dream.

Now having toys wasn't enough for Alfie.

For Alfie has a gift of making playthings,

With his little hands,

His little muscles and a big imagination,

Full of creative fun.

Plus getting a new tie,

Well he would have to wait for that.

Special occasions like a visit to Nana's or his birthday once a year or Christmas or those special summer car boot sales.

But Alfie found he had a natural gift and made and created a toy of all his own,

His dens.

His dens were always in the home,

Which was perfect on rainy days.

Sunny days made him smile.

And snowy,

Dark,

Early days,

He smiled again.

But what did he use and how big were they?

Were they colourful?

Let's keep an eye on Alfie and see how he feels this week.

Monday did came and go.

Tuesday too.

Wednesday halfway through the week.

Thursday he began to imagine.

And on Friday he rolled up his sleeves and began after tea to make a brand new den in the home.

Mum just smiled.

Just the two of them lived here and Charlie the dog is so small he would be going into the new den soon.

He began to collect all his pieces.

Cushions from the city.

A couple of blankets.

And old holiday bathroom towels too.

And just made soft walls from the city square cushions.

His walls began to stand up like the walls of a castle.

To throw his first blanket over the top like a roof.

The second blanket added like a flap door.

Little Charlie the dog rushed in for a sniff and well,

Relax inside I think.

It was a little dark inside yet full of soft dreamy colours.

Alfie carefully itched his body in by first rolling onto his belly.

Well he was in the centre and sat in the middle of his brand new den.

It was like a mini home so quiet in here.

Then off he went back on his belly to get his torch and supplies.

Things like books.

A teddy to talk to.

When Charlie the little black dog was asleep Alfie noticed he looked like a sleeping dragon within his castle.

But he knew protected it from the outside world.

For Charlie's ears would prick up if anyone was to enter within.

The den seemed magical indeed.

It led to an inner world where no one could see how brilliant his imagination was in here.

He could be anything.

Talk to anyone.

He was meditating with his powerful mind.

All his worries dissolved and he always came out smiling.

Seeing the world looked a piece of cake.

He laughed at drama.

For he could see beyond the world's flaws and really loved all the creative stuff.

Maybe you would like to make your own den now.

Can you remember what you shall need to do a den yourself?

Get comfortable as you get your thinking,

Dreaming,

Imagination on.

And begin.

Start to make a den too.

Remember when it's ready you can truly relax and enjoy your spectacular den.

So off you go now.

Do it properly.

Collect and create the best den ever.

Dream big on den making.
