Welcome to this guided meditation,
Called Show Me How to Be Grateful.
Let's begin.
Please get comfortable seated or lay down if you wish.
Closing your eyes,
Squeeze them shut.
At the count of three,
Taking a full deep breath in.
One,
Two,
Three.
And follow a full breath out.
Let one hand rest on your heart and one hand rest on your tummy.
Enter calm and stillness.
So this meditation is called Show Me How to Be Grateful.
For when we are,
We feel truly happy.
Now we shall ask someone to visit you that's really all about living in abundance.
He's called the Great Spirit of all the tramps in this world.
Yes,
Who visits many,
Many homes with his heartfelt message.
He shall remind us,
For tramps all around this world are certain people who do not seem to have much.
So imagine right now,
Someone is at the front door and he will not go away.
So you must let him in.
It is time for a visit from the Great Spirit of all tramps in this world.
So opening that front door as you begin to stare.
His eyes are tired.
His face is full of long hard times.
He isn't wearing anything special today.
His shoes have two holes near the toes and a loose heel.
But you cannot stop him looking around.
He walks gingerly so carefully over clean floors,
Some of which are carpeted and warm to the touch.
And some are smooth and shiny.
He looks straight into the fridge and stares at all the food and drinks that are sweet and savoury.
Some ready to eat and some for cooking and baking of course.
He tries the water taps and sees clean water gushing out super fast.
He checks the bathroom and sighs at the shower and the big bathtub.
He then looks at the toilet looking all prim and proper.
He reaches for the switch and lights dance on and off.
He sees you have coins and notes and credit cards.
Then his hand feels the warm radiators and counts how many homely fires you have.
He peers into one of the bedrooms and counts the pillows and blankets all clean.
He goes through the drawers seeing all the clean clothes and all the different shoes all in the same size.
His eyes light up at pretty jewellery like a treasure box.
In another room he looks at all the technology that makes life seem magical and powerful.
And smiles with his eyes at so many things to play with.
He looks at the walls of photos and happy memories of your family tree.
He sees certificates and qualifications of many recognised gifts.
He glances around for there is still endless of other things collected through life itself.
He smells the fresh flowers on the table.
He sees simply you are living in abundance.
Then he laughs a little and walks back to that front door and rings the bell for fun.
Simply saying I think I can go now and dissolves in front of your eyes into a warm golden light.
Like he was sunshine at your door.
Yes,
That sunshine at your front door.
And now it really is time to awake to the count of three.
One,
Two,
Three.
Eyes opening fully back into your abundance.
I hope you are smiling.
