Welcome to this guided meditation called Dentist Day I Am Calm.

Let's begin.

Seated would be best.

Remember you will be seated also at the dentist.

Let's make you calm.

So please close both your eyes.

I am handing you a white balloon.

Hold on to its magic string.

The string is shiny.

And connects you to this white bright balloon.

And to you and your smile that is a part of you.

Let's prepare and imagine you are off to the dentist.

But you are taking your invisible white bright balloon.

Anyway it's time to sit in that dentist chair.

Breathe in as you say to yourself.

I must cooperate and let the dentist do their job.

And check my teeth.

So as I close my eyes and do what I am told.

I notice my bright white balloon grows big.

And puts me inside.

And hugs me close.

It's a very light airy hug.

I am surrounded in whiteness too.

The calm white air keeps me calm.

The white bright balloon keeps me calm too.

And because my eyes are closed I can think of something nice and new.

With this the white balloon floats me onto a long bright sunny beach.

All the tiny waves wash in and out.

Up to my ankles my feet.

I begin to walk on this sandy beach.

Holding now my white balloon.

The string gets longer and reaches the sky.

Dancing on the sea wind.

I walk and walk and splash all my toes in the little tiny waves.

And leave a footprint.

The string wraps itself around my waist.

And then I swim in the shallow end of the waves.

I like the sand.

I like the sea.

And my white balloon watches over me.

Now as I connect to the sea and freedom here.

A smiling white angel suddenly appears.

And waits for me to come out of the sea.

Her smile is so white and bright.

And holds out her hand.

She wants to continue to walk on the sand and hold my hand.

Whilst I wait for the dentist to complete their work.

The white angel keeps me calm.

And tells me how wonderful a healthy smile can be.

Your smile is powerful and beautiful all of your life.

I begin to smile inside.

And feel so calm and so good.

The walk on this beach feels wonderful.

I am pleased to share it with my big white balloon.

And this white smiling angel holds my hand.

And just for fun we run on this long sandy beach.

Everything here is so bright.

I know soon time will have gone.

So for now I continue to feel such great support.

I may make a huge sandcastle too.

And soon when time has truly gone by.

Is when I hear the dentist say.

All finished.

You can open your eyes.

So let's do this.

Open your eyes at the count of three.

One,

Two,

Three.

Well done.

And remember to take your white invisible balloon on your dentist's day.

You
