Falling to sleep with the theme of the bedroom window open allows us to explore the air coming in and connecting to us, from our breath, and how to wind the invisible air that travels all around us and through us. Leading into dreams of the air that truly travels in an ever-flowing way.

Welcome to this guided sleep meditation called Bedroom Window.

Let's begin.

Please settle down into bed.

One full stretch of all the body.

Release all the muscles.

Exhale into sleep time.

Closing your eyes into deep sleep.

Eyes are ready to connect to dreaming.

May the bedroom be all about the air.

Breathing air in and releasing the air.

Notice that air is constantly moving.

Think how different sleeping would be if all the windows were wide open and the wind flowed through everywhere.

Time to listen for the wind.

From the bedroom window.

On a windy night,

Soft sounds fills my ears completely.

It feels good to feel the wind so close to me.

Full of lightness.

It reminds me of being in the shower.

So clean,

So soft.

Water always is.

And so is the wind.

Clean,

Soft,

Very fresh.

My invisible friend,

It is the wind.

Wind is big.

Possibly the biggest thing in the whole world.

It likes to touch things and move them about.

From the ground all the way up to the highest of clouds.

So first I investigate and look down to my feet at the green grass.

Every tiny blade of grass together makes a lovely green carpet so soft.

But wind makes its sway.

Leaning to the left as if bowing to the wind.

Grass leans to the right for the wind is in a hurry.

Then I look up sky-high and clouds are bopping along on the wind.

Time for some clouds gazing.

Cloud watching can be fun for it makes me feel different but good.

I stretch my eyes high and I can almost feel the clouds that move on the wind.

It makes me think and see the whole world is truly spinning around.

Gravity keeps my feet on the floor but wind has a lot of fun with clouds.

Making them big and small and extremely fluffy.

Now between the green grass and all those clouds leaves one by one drop softly on my head and at my feet.

Wind runs through the trees looking for anything loose.

Now autumn the wind plays a game of leaf dropping catching you out of course.

All my clean clothes from the washing machine hang outside on big windy days.

Mothers love the smell of wind on their clothes for it really does smell fresh and airy.

But hanging washing out makes me think of sails that move these ships and little boats faster through wind power.

Set sail as huge fabrics catches all the air pushing these ships and little boats forward.

Yes wind travel.

And what about the sea succumbing to the wind with ripples and huge waves.

For nothing is still but a dancing big style.

Side to side up and down around and around.

And what about the birds smothered in feathers.

Feathers are so light the perfect combination for wind.

Air currents,

Wind currents and large flocks of birds will travel from country to country called migration.

How else can a bird reach the tallest of trees without wind as their companion their friend.

And back to me for I'm not a cloud not a bird not a tree.

But wind runs all around me and through me.

Touching and tickling me feeling very alive.

Goes up my nose before I can think.

Looks down my mouth and throat and into my tummy.

Runs through my fingers and thumbs and tosses my hair.

And every tiny hair on my skin is pricked up by the wind.

My eyes feel a soft pressure as wind looks me in the eye.

And the temperature means wind has been to many places.

Arctic winds may visit me so cool so deeply fresh that my breath turns to white fog.

What about wind beyond the earth into the universe all around the planets.

For it is invisible but touches everything.

If I blow out now my breath my air am I not the wind inside of me too.

For I feel it as I blow my breath on my skin.

A little wind but still the wind.

Now can the wind send me to sleep.

Be so soft be gentle and sway me so quietly so I can drift into dreams.

I shall follow the wind into my dreams and play just like you.

Dreaming something special about you and something special about me.

So as I fall to sleep let wind lift my feet off the ground.

Fear the wind under my feet.

Let me travel by wind and see more different wonderful things.

Although I am human I think I could fly and float and flow on the wind.

Let it take me and be full of lightness.

Exciting to move about like the wind itself.

Maybe I will have some fun and go everywhere that the wind does travel.

With a smile on my face let me let me bond and befriend the wind and dream something special about you and something special about me.

It's time to go to sleep now.

To sleep and dream.

One,

Two,

Three.
