Find a quiet and comfortable place where you'll not be disturbed for a little while.
Allow your body to settle into a position that feels supportive,
Comfortable.
And when you're ready gently close your eyes.
Take in a slow deep breath.
Hold it softly for a moment and then release it with a long steady exhale.
Feel the weight of your body being received by the surface beneath you.
Allow it to really melt into that support.
Allow your body to feel heavy.
This is your time to rest and renew.
And as you take another deep breath,
Feel the air move through your chest,
Throat,
Feel your lungs.
And allow yourself to release any tension that you might be holding.
With each in-breath you invite calmness into your body and with each out-breath you release what no longer serves you.
Nothing needs to be forced here.
Simply notice how the rhythm of your breathing naturally begins to steady and slow.
With each exhale you sink a little deeper into the support and into the present moment.
And as your breath settles,
Bring your awareness to the space immediately around your body.
Everyone has an energetic boundary,
Sometimes referred to as aura or energy field.
This boundary extends beyond the skin,
Shaping the space that belongs to you.
It's not fixed or rigid,
It's a living responsive part of your being.
It defines where you end and where the world begins and it protects the integrity of your being.
Of your energy.
When your boundary is strong,
You feel safe,
Clear and connected.
You know where you stand with yourself and with others.
When it becomes thin or weakened,
You may feel scattered,
Emotionally overloaded or overly influenced by the energies around you.
Boundaries can fray through stress,
Exhaustion or simply forgetting to tend to them.
This practice is here to help you restore and renew your boundary so that your energy feels strong and whole again.
So begin by imagining your breath,
Drawing your energy back towards you.
With each inhale,
See yourself gathering up pieces of energy that may have been left behind in conversations,
Tasks or places you visited.
With every exhale,
Release what does not belong to you,
Other people's emotions,
Opinions or demands that you may have taken on.
Breathe in your own essence and breathe out that which is not yours.
Continue doing this for several breaths,
Noticing how this reclaiming,
This gathering and releasing begins to restore a sense of clarity,
Strength,
Perhaps even vibrancy or effervescence in your field.
Now bring your attention to the outline of your body.
Visualize a gentle sphere of light surrounding you.
It may appear bright or faint,
Wide or close.
Simply notice it as it is right now.
With your breath,
Begin to imagine this sphere becoming clearer.
If there are any thin patches,
See them weaving themselves whole again,
Like threads of light being stitched back together.
If there are holes or tears,
Imagine them gently sealing,
Being filled with golden radiance.
With every inhale,
More light streams in to restore what was worn thin.
With every exhale,
Heaviness or residue is released back to the earth,
Where it can be transformed,
Transmuted and made whole.
Allow yourself to spend time in this process,
Slowly and patiently watching as your boundary becomes more luminous.
See the light wrapping evenly around you,
Smooth,
Intact,
Shimmering,
Effervescent,
Like a protective cocoon.
Feel how your body responds as this renewal unfolds.
Perhaps your body lightens,
Maybe your chest opens,
Your heart,
Or your mind becomes quieter.
Notice the subtle sense of relief that comes when your energy field is whole again.
Boundaries are not walls,
They do not isolate you from the world,
Instead they are filters,
Allowing connection whilst maintaining clarity.
Your boundary is the living edge of your energy,
Reminding you that you are responsible for what you hold.
And free to release that which is not yours.
As you sense this protective layer strengthening,
Reflect on how it allows you to give with generosity and receive with a beautiful openness.
All without losing yourself in the process.
Bring your awareness now to the centre of your chest.
Imagine a soft light glowing from your heart space,
Radiating warmth and calm.
This light expands to fill the inside of your boundary,
Strengthening it from within.
As it spreads outward,
Any lingering heaviness or stagnant energy dissolves,
Leaving only clarity and peace.
The light reassures you that your energy is sacred and that your space is protected and safe.
Stay here for a few breaths,
Feel the balance of being both open and protected.
Sense how different it feels to be whole in your energy,
Clear and renewed.
If your mind drifts,
Gently guide it back to breath and to the glowing sphere that surrounds you.
And now silently repeat these affirmations,
Letting each one sink deeply into your field.
My energy is my own.
My boundaries are clear and strong.
I can safely connect with others without losing myself.
I am safe.
I am whole.
I am sovereign in my own space.
Take time with each statement.
Notice how your body responds to the truth of these words.
Feel them echo through your mind,
Your heart and your boundary,
Reinforcing the renewal that's taking place.
As you rest in this state,
Imagine yourself moving through your day with this luminous sphere around you.
See yourself engaging with others from a place of clarity and ease.
Notice how your interactions change when you know that your energy is protected.
There is no need to harden or withdraw.
You can remain open and kind while still honoring your own space.
And take a few more steady breaths,
Drawing in strength with each inhale and releasing any remaining residue with each exhale.
Your field is smooth,
Bright and whole.
Your energy is settled and clear.
And when you're ready to return,
Bring your awareness back to your physical body.
That might take a few moments to settle and reintegrate.
Notice the weight of your feet,
The surface beneath you,
The air moving in and out of your lungs.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes to reawaken your body and take one last deep breath in.
Filling yourself with clarity and then release it with a sigh.
That's it,
A nice big sigh.
And when it feels right,
Softly open your eyes.
Sit for a moment before moving,
Carrying with you the sense of renewal that you've cultivated.
Your boundary is clear,
Your energy is your own.
And you can return to this practice whenever you need to restore your balance and your energy.
Welcome back.
