Clearing breath.

It's almost a reflex for me now when I arrive on the mat,

Taking a deep clearing breath and softening the body.

For the clearing breath,

You start with a deep inhale into your belly,

Filling up your lungs,

Then pause just a moment and then let the breath fall out while also dropping your shoulders.

Inhale deeply.

Pause.

Again,

Fill up.

Remembering to drop your shoulders down as you release the breath.

Taking a few clearing breaths,

Let your body know you're changing gears and to pay attention.
