Laying on our backs,

We're sitting comfortably in a chair,

Closing our eyes or bringing our gaze to a single spot.

We are beginning to tune in to the natural rhythm of our breath,

Noticing our inhale and our exhale.

Beginning to breathe deeper into our diaphragm,

Feeling the belly expand on the inhale and feeling the belly retract easily on our exhale.

Taking a few more breaths,

Noticing the belly expanding and retracting.

On our next inhale,

We are noticing our breath filling the belly and then the chest,

And on our exhale we are noticing our chest deflate and then our belly deflate.

Noticing how the next few inhales fill our belly and then our chest,

And how the exhales empty our chest and then empty our belly.

Allowing our next inhale to rise from the belly into the chest and filling up into our heart space and collarbones.

Exhaling slowly,

Feeling the breath leave our collarbones,

Heart space,

Leaving our chest and then leaving the belly.

Taking a few breaths just like that.

Inhaling into the belly,

Then chest,

Then heart space and collarbones.

Exhaling out of the collarbones and heart space,

Out of the chest,

Out of the belly.

Allowing our next breath to rise just in the belly and then the chest.

The breath will fall from the chest and then from the belly.

Now breathing just in the belly,

Feeling it expanding on your inhale and deflating with your exhale.

Returning your breath to its natural rhythm,

Breathing in comfortably and breathing out effortlessly.

Feeling how your body feels in this moment.

And then bringing your awareness back to this moment,

Maybe wiggling some fingers and some toes.

Feeling your eyes are starting to glance slowly and softly around the room.

Taking one last breath in and out.

I love those simple, back to the basics meditations. This one is well made, the music is perfect and the guidance is well spoken. It’s been a long time since I were able to stay focussed during a meditation as I’ve been during this one. Thank you!
