Hi and welcome,

My name is Laya.

This is a guided visualization designed to spark your creativity,

Helping you set up for writing or for any other creative activity that you may be about to engage in.

Whether that's drawing or painting,

Creating music,

Singing,

Cooking,

Any activity that requires you to be somewhat inspired.

And whether you are doing this because you want to or because you have to,

Make the choice at this moment to tap into your intuition and your creative nature because creativity is a gift.

Sit tall and close your eyes if that's comfortable for you.

Notice any sounds around you,

Tapping into each sound for an instant.

Acknowledging each sound before softly moving your attention to the next,

Without attachment,

With playfulness if you will.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Inhale deeply and exhale fully.

Begin to attune to the rhythm of your breath as you begin to witness how your body feels,

How the energy flows through you.

Observe your thoughts passing by one after the other,

Releasing the need to assess or criticize.

Sure you need to wash the dishes,

Sure you have a long list that needs to be done before nightfall,

Yet now just breathe.

Reconnect to your intention of tapping into your creativity and creating.

Challenge your mind so that every time you find yourself attaching to a thought,

You simply invite your awareness back to your breath,

Becoming more and more present.

Breathe.

Begin to engage with your imagination as you start to picture yourself strolling down a path.

What kind of path came immediately to mind?

Is the path made of dirt,

Grass,

Rock,

Cement?

How does it feel beneath your feet?

Can you find some words to describe the feelings of your footfalls?

Keep going down the path.

As you begin to lift your gaze and look around,

Observe your surroundings.

What kind of plants and trees do you see along the path?

What is the scenery like?

What colors are predominant all around you?

And what is the temperature like?

Can you hear any sounds as you keep going down the path?

Is there a distinct smell in the air?

Be as detailed as possible,

Truly observing how each step feels and how the air feels on your skin.

Keep moving forward.

Keep breathing.

And as you come around a bend in the path,

You find yourself right before a body of water.

What do you imagine first?

Is it an ocean or a river or a lake?

It could even be a pool.

How much of it can you see from where you are?

And perhaps you choose to go a bit further down the path to get a better view.

Look around you.

What do you see?

Does the sun glimmer over the surface of the water?

Can you see any birds flying amongst the clouds overhead?

What can you connect to in this moment?

Start to search for a place to sit down.

It could be a bench or a large rock to sit on,

But you can also choose to sit on the grass or the sand.

Whatever place you choose is so comfortable and welcoming.

So notice the surface beneath you.

Make yourself even more comfortable so that if you choose to,

You can stay here for a little while.

And then as you're sitting here,

Simply observing your surroundings,

Rejoicing in the moment,

You hear gentle steps behind you approaching from the path.

And you hear a friendly voice calling your name.

You get up cheerfully to approach the smiling face.

Who is it?

It can be anyone in the world.

You invite them to sit beside you and have a friendly conversation.

What do you discuss?

You can let the story go wherever it wants to lead.

Breathe.

Whenever you feel ready,

Say goodbye to that person.

Perhaps you even give them a nice long hug.

And just stay here,

Looking around once again at the beautiful scenery.

Take a deep breath in.

Let it go.

Once you feel ready,

Start to head back toward the path.

Paying attention to the sights and the sense of the path.

Returning slowly to this moment.

As you reconnect to the sound of your breath.

To the sensations in your physical body.

And eventually to your surroundings.

Inhale deeply.

Open your mouth and let it go.

Take a moment here of gratitude for your ability to tap into your imagination,

Your intuition,

And your creativity.

Once you feel ready,

Open your eyes.

Happy creating my friends.
