My name is Chris and welcome to this shamanic breathwork journey.
A space between the worlds.
A time to soften the edges of the mind,
Awaken the senses,
And listen inward.
We're not here to escape the body.
We're here to root more deeply into it and through it into spirit.
You don't need to believe in anything for this to work.
You just need to breathe with presence,
With openness.
In many shamanic traditions,
The breath was never just oxygen.
It was spirit itself.
A sacred rhythm.
A way of listening inward and reaching outward into the subtle realms of energy,
Memory,
And the unseen.
So find a grounded seat or lie down,
Whatever allows you to feel both supported and surrendered,
And close your eyes.
And let's take a few deep breaths together to begin.
Inhale slowly through the nose.
Exhale it all out with a soft sigh.
Another big inhale.
Now let it all out.
One more deep inhale.
Now sigh it out loud.
Beautiful.
We'll now enter a space where the veil grows thin.
Let the breath be your guide and let the mystery unfold.
You breathe with the earth,
With your ancestors,
And with the unseen world that knows your name.
We'll begin by settling into a circular breath.
Inhale for four counts.
Exhale for four.
All through the mouth.
So it'll go like this.
In.
To the earth beneath you.
To something older,
Wiser,
Deeper within.
Each breath be a circle,
Know mind and spirit.
Exhale.
Feel.
Let tension melt away.
We'll take a big breath in through the mouth,
Filling all the way up.
The breath has stopped,
But life is pulsing everywhere.
We'll take a recovery breath in three,
Two,
One.
Let it out.
Nice.
Now going into our second round,
We'll be doing a pulsing breath.
Breathing in through the mouth for two.
Out through the mouth for two.
Like this.
In.
Going.
That's it.
Ancient.
Intelligent.
Movement.
Expression.
Let the energy find its own path.
All is welcome.
We're going to speed up the breath now.
Single inhale.
Exhale on every beat.
It'll go like this.
In.
Out.
That's it.
Keep it going.
Breath hold.
We'll take a deep breath in.
You are the meeting point of heaven and earth.
Let that truth settle in.
We'll take a recovery breath in three,
Two,
One.
Let it all out.
Beautiful.
We're going to begin round three with humming breath.
We'll breathe in four counts through the nose,
And then exhale with a hum on whatever pitch you're feeling.
Just like this.
In.
Let the sound rise from your heart.
Not effortless.
Alive.
And true breath hold now.
This time it will be on the exhale,
On empty.
First take a big breath in.
Notice what remains.
We'll take a recovery breath in three,
Two,
One.
Big breath in.
Hold at the top.
Let it all out.
Let your breath soften now.
The rhythm dissolves,
But the energy remains.
Let the silence deepen.
There's no effort needed anymore.
Just present.
Just openness.
Lie back,
Or remain seated in stillness.
Let what's been stirred settle.
Let what's been awakened integrate.
You breathe through it,
And something moved.
Maybe something stirred.
Maybe something softened.
Whatever came up,
Honor it.
You don't have to figure it all out right now.
Just know that your breath opened a door,
And what you felt was real.
This journey doesn't end when the music fades.
It keeps weaving through how you speak,
How you walk,
How you show up.
So stay open.
Stay rooted.
When life gets loud,
