Hello there,
My courageous friend.
Welcome to a space where you can feel what's real.
Anger isn't wrong,
It's sacred.
It rises to protect,
To alert,
To speak truth.
But when we don't give it space,
It can spill onto those we love or into the world where it doesn't belong.
If something triggered you,
Something feels out of your control,
This is your space to sit with it,
Feel it,
And let it move.
You don't need to be calm,
You just need to be honest.
Find a steady seat,
Let your spine rise tall.
Now take a slow breath in through the nose and an audible exhale through the mouth.
In this practice,
You are free to make noise,
To be loud,
And to take up space.
Let's begin.
We'll start with a two-part breath,
Inhaling through the mouth down to the belly,
Pull more air into the chest,
And then out through the like this.
In,
In,
Out.
In,
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
Belly,
Chest,
Out.
Belly,
Chest,
Out.
That's it,
Keep it going.
Feel the heat in your belly,
The pressure in your chest.
Breathe right into it.
Let it go with sound if you need to.
Let it be messy,
Let it be real.
You don't have to hold it together right now,
You're teaching your body it's safe to feel.
We're going to go into our first breath hold.
We'll take a deep breath in.
You didn't push it away,
You let it move.
Now feel the quiet after the storm.
Notice the space that opened where the tension used to live.
Taking a recovery breath in five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Let it all go.
Nice,
Now let's go into round two.
We're going to go into circular breathing now,
Inhaling through the mouth,
Exhaling through the mouth,
Making noise of some sort on the exhale.
In,
Out,
Out.
That's it,
In,
Out.
Keep it going.
Anger is not bad,
It's just energy that got trapped.
Set it free now,
Your body knows how to do this.
You don't have to understand it,
Just keep moving it through you with the breath.
All right,
We're going to go into our second and final breath hold now,
Taking a deep breath in.
Feel your power contained,
Steady and centered,
Not explosive.
This is what strength feels like when it's calm.
Letting it all go.
Beautiful work.
Now let the breath return to its own rhythm now.
No control,
No effort.
Feel the shift.
The fire has moved.
What remains is you,
Clearer,
Steadier,
More spacious.
Now let your body be still.
Honor yourself for showing up today.
Your anger is not the enemy,
It's energy asking to move and you just moved it.
Thank you for being here,
For feeling,
For breathing.
Until next time.
