Come into a position where you feel both comfortable and alert.
You could be lying down or in a reclined position,
Sitting upright or maybe you have your legs up the wall in an inversion.
Try not to get caught up in what you think a meditation pose should look like but allow your body to lead you into the right shape.
As you settle in,
Close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Beginning to take this journey inward.
Start with taking a few deep slow breaths in through the nose and out through the nose.
Can you feel your body relax a little more every time you exhale?
Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful quiet place.
It might be a secluded forest,
A quiet beach or a tranquil meadow.
The air is fresh and clean and you feel a sense of calm and serenity wash over you.
As you look around you notice a small cozy cottage in the distance.
It is warm and inviting with a gently flickering light coming from inside.
You feel drawn to it and as you approach you notice that there is a sign on the door that reads safe space.
As you enter the cottage you feel a sense of peace and safety wash over you.
The room is warm and welcoming with comfortable chairs and soft lighting.
You notice a small fireplace in the corner with a gentle fire burning brightly.
As you take a seat in one of the chairs you feel a sense of relaxation and comfort.
The room is filled with a soothing energy and you know that this is a place where you can let go of any worries or concerns.
As you sit in the chair you feel a soft blanket wrap around you and you notice that there is a cup of warm tea on the table next to you.
The tea is fragrant and comforting.
You take a sip of the tea and feel a sense of comfort and calm wash over you.
You know that this is a safe place.
A place where you can be yourself and feel completely accepted.
As you sit in the chair you notice that there are soft pillows and blankets scattered around the room.
You feel a sense of gratitude for this safe space.
For the peace and security that it brings.
Take a few moments to breathe deeply and fully allowing yourself to sink deeper into this safe space.
Feel the warmth of the fire,
The comfort of the blankets,
And the soothing energy of the room.
Allow the visualization to fade into the background as we go deeper by considering the tarot card judgment.
Judgment is your guide through redemption.
As you walk your path the progression of one stage of your life is celebrated with a ritual into the next.
A graduation,
A party,
A promotion.
You are free to move on from the past as judgment arrives in your present.
Judgment's energy provides a safe space for renewal.
The old can safely be put to rest.
Turn your focus inward and ask yourself what am I moving on from?
Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think.
Paying attention to anything that comes up.
What am I moving on from?
Even though the deep listening question was inspired by tarot cards,
You don't need to believe in tarot for the question to be valid.
The point is that you're practicing hearing and listening to your inner wisdom.
As you practice you might get a sense or a feeling of a message or you may hear the message or have a knowing of what it is.
If there's a chance that you didn't get anything or that something could come up later,
There is no wrong experience.
Take a few breaths to just process whatever came up for you.
Now listen to the following affirmation allowing it to resonate deeply.
I am free to create a new path for myself.
I am free to create a new path for myself.
As we reach the end of today's practice bring the palms together at heart center slightly bowing your head.
Take a moment to reflect on your experience.
Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?
Did you practice listening and being open?
Allowing this experience and any insights that you have gained to stay with you.
Bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
Take your time and when you're ready open your eyes and allow your body any movement that it needs.
