Go outside, take off your foot prisons and connect with Nature. Mother Nature is our greatest teacher and our greatest healer and yet, we spend so much of our modern lives disconnected from her magic. This is a short and powerful meditation to help you connect with all that is.

Hi,

This meditation is designed to reconnect us with Mother Earth,

Mama Earth,

Gaia,

Whatever you want to call this glorious planet that we are part of.

And this is a little bit different than a quote unquote normal meditation.

Ideally you're going to do this outside.

Ideally you're going to do this barefoot.

If possible,

Please don't get frostbite on your toes.

And you can do this standing or sitting or maybe even walking very intentionally.

You can do this with your eyes maybe half closed or even open,

Maybe looking at one spot in particular.

You'll know where to look.

Mother Earth will show you.

So get yourself into position for this meditation.

Again,

Find that spot of focus.

Ground your feet into the earth.

Even if you're standing in snow and you're wearing boots,

Consciously spread your toes out.

Make sure your feet are taking up space.

Feel your connection with the ground beneath you.

Feel yourself rooting to the earth.

And if you're sitting,

Feel yourself rooting through every place you're making contact with the ground beneath you.

Same if you're lying down.

Feel yourself rooting and connecting with the ground beneath you.

A plant's roots carry nourishment from the soil into the plant.

It also carries communication between plants.

Those are the roots you're extending into the earth right now.

Reaching,

Feeling the extension as you connect with all things.

And at the same time,

Drinking up the nourishment of this planet.

Now wherever you are,

Let's tune into your senses.

First,

What do you see?

And look beyond the surface level thing that you see.

Look beyond the surface of the water or the fluttering leaf.

Trust me,

Just look deeper.

Don't do this from a forcing perspective.

Do it from an allowing.

Allow yourself to see.

And you might not actually see with your eyes.

Be open to that possibility as well.

Now listen.

What do you hear?

Do you hear the sound of wind?

The sound of leaves fluttering?

The sound of birds or other animals?

Do you hear the sound of snow?

The sound of water?

Can you hear the trees growing?

Can you hear the plants blooming?

Again,

Allow.

Nothing is possible.

And smell.

What do you smell?

You can open your mouth a little bit here too and taste.

Again,

Everything is possible.

Be open to what Mother Earth wants to show you.

Allow yourself to be one with the world around you because you are one with everything around you.

You are the same as the animals.

You are an animal.

You are the same as the birds.

You are the same as the trees.

You are the same as the grasses.

You are the same as the bugs.

You don't have to grasp this concept in your head.

Feel it in your body.

And become aware of the breath,

Of your breath,

And of the breath of everything that surrounds you.

The breath of the animals,

The breath of the plants,

And the breath of the ground beneath you.

Allow this to deepen your connection with the earth.

And hang on to that connection you feel with all things.

With all beings and with the planet.

And reflect inward on yourself,

On you,

This funny looking,

Mostly hairless mammal in the middle of it all,

Just as much a part of the ecosystem as everything around you.

Have you ever felt your Carolyn.

" And let's close out this experience with gratitude.

Put your hands on the earth and feel whatever there is to feel.

Perhaps you feel the connectedness of all things.

Remember,

The mushrooms that we see popping up out of the earth are all connected through this deep,

Intricate mat that's beneath the surface of the soil.

Maybe we too are connected through something similar.

Who knows?

Everything is possible.

So thank Mother Earth,

Thank this glorious planet for everything it has given to all of us.

Thank the trees and all the plants and all the animals.

And turn your palms upward and thank the sky.

And then bring your palms together and bring them to your heart and thank yourself.

We are all one.

We are all Mother Earth.

We are all nature.

We are all connected.

May you remember that your energy is sacred.

May you remember that your body is wisdom.

May you remember that your soul is light.

May you remember that we are all one.
