So now let's get ready to practice our meditation.
We're going to be working with letting go of stress today.
So relieving that stress that you might be feeling.
So take a moment just to kind of set the scene and settle in.
Just relaxing your body,
Closing your eyes.
Making sure nothing is bothering you and that you're in a position where you can stay here for a little bit.
Just do whatever you need right now to make yourself or baby or babies comfortable.
And when you're ready,
Just begin to focus on your breath.
Just feeling that natural rhythm of air flowing in and out of the body.
Letting it relax you both physically and mentally.
Just settle into your natural rhythm of breath.
And now listen to the sounds around you.
Just bringing your attention to the world all around.
Listen to the sounds outside of the room.
Listen to the sounds inside of the room.
Just allowing yourself a moment to become aware of all sensations around you.
Sounds,
Smells,
Temperature.
And just become present in this moment.
And now see yourself standing in front of a lake.
Just look around and take in your surroundings.
See the water,
The trees.
Feel the earth underneath your feet.
Hear the birds chirping and feel just a light breeze in the air brushing across your skin.
Open up all of your senses and take in this new world around you.
And then you walk up to the water and you gaze into the lake.
The surface is rough.
There's ripples in the water.
It's a bit murky.
The lake seems agitated or disturbed.
And so you sit at the edge of the lake.
Dip your toes in the water and begin to breathe.
You breathe deeply in and deeply out.
Just taking those nice,
Big,
Deep,
Full belly breaths.
And you just sit back,
Relax,
And wait.
And as you continue to breathe,
The water begins to calm.
The surface of the lake becomes smoother.
And all of the silt,
Debris,
And sand begins to sink to the bottom of the lake.
Leaving the water calmer and clearer.
The air around you becomes still and the sun comes out.
Begins to shine and twinkles across the water as you continue to breathe.
And you just notice with each breath,
The water becomes a bit more calm and clear.
And that you too become a bit more calm and clear.
And eventually you notice that the lake is completely smooth and still.
It looks like a pane of glass.
And you're surrounded by the perfect day around you.
Everything is calm.
Everything is clear.
Your breath is slow and effortless.
You're completely at peace.
Not bothered by a single thing.
You just sit back,
Relax with your toes in the water.
And just breathe.
And now you tune back in with how you're feeling.
And you realize that you have become just like this lake.
Completely still,
Completely relaxed.
Clear in your mind.
And you allow each breath to move you deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Maybe taking a hand and resting it on baby.
To help share the relaxation with them as well.
Just letting everything go.
And allowing each breath to bring you deeper into your relaxation.
And now taking one last moment here at this lake.
Just savoring the stillness and peace.
And you take that hand resting on belly maybe.
Give it a little bit of a rub.
Just taking a moment to connect with them.
Send them some love.
When you're ready,
Taking a few big,
Deep,
Easy breaths.
Just breathing in through the nose.
And sighing out through the mouth.
Do this two more times.
And then begin to reawaken just by inviting small movement back in.
And eventually blinking the eyes open and continuing on with your day.
Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation practice.
