Daytime practice to create more energy in your body and intention for the day from the recharge of standing Qi Gong. Welcome the sensations alive in your experience being in the light of the day. Feel clarity and energy throughout your being.

Transcript

Stand in the light either outside or inside,

Feet hip width distance.

Bend into your arches of your feet.

Roll around on the balls of your feet.

Feel the toes,

The heels,

The outer edges as you bend one knee then the other.

Let the heels lift up and roll the ankles out.

And then relax into a gentle rock forward and back from toes to heels and then side to side.

Let's do that two more times forward back,

Two more times side to side.

Continue rocking forward back being light on your feet.

And let your tail start to gently guide down to the earth.

If you had a bushy tail you can gently let it rock down and fall between your legs,

Bending softly through the knees and the ankles.

Feel the belly soft and place a hand right there with the thumb and the belly button and then the other hand on top.

And like you had a bowl full of jelly in your hands just let your belly relax into your palms.

And right here where you support your body is the dantian,

This balanced place in your body.

And then bring your hands about two feet in front of you so your arms are relaxed from the wrist to the fingers.

And the hands are not touching each other they're just gently creating a ball shape in front of your dantian.

And gentle smile as you rock and feel the lightness and softness and relaxation through your body.

And if it is not in any way which is natural you're going to gently move that body part.

It can be a big or small movement,

It can bend,

You can maybe not twirl but you can do these little shifts and changes with the charge and move of the energy.

Bring your awareness between your hands and your dantian and feel the space of energy there.

And when I say energy I mean the sensation of static,

Sensation of lightness,

Heaviness,

Denseness,

Texture.

If there's a texture there it can feel more liquidy or rigid or metallic or something.

There's no right or wrong it's just sensation and how you would describe it.

And then as you feel the sensation between your hands and your dantian bring awareness down to your perineum.

And then trace a line through your body up your spine,

Travel your awareness up your spine with your complete welcoming.

And if it's hard to welcome right now just take your time,

There's no pressure but seeing if you can give over all of this welcoming energy and awareness to being inside your spine.

And you go all the way up to your shoulders,

Down your arms,

Into your hands,

Back to dantian,

Exhale down to perineum,

Inhale up the spine,

Exhale down the arms to hands,

Inhale into dantian,

Exhale down to perineum,

Inhale up your spine,

Exhale down your arms.

Inhale back to your body to dantian,

Exhale down to perineum,

Inhale up your spine,

Exhale down your arms to your hands and pause right here release your arms.

And what do you feel?

Rock your feet again.

Notice the temperature on your skin.

The sensation on your skin.

And then pause your rock and set an intention for the rest of your day.

Place a hand on your heart.

Invite in your intention as a word,

A phrase,

A color or image.

One that will give life to the energy that you want to see,

The connections you want to make with yourself or others,

The life you want to live.
