The words to this meditation came to me after a really intense drop-off with my young one at a summer camp.
And it was a summer camp where she was very familiar with the people,
Very familiar with the space,
And yet for days upon days she was having really intense fear and anxiety and tears every time we were doing drop-off.
So I was in that mommy space of,
You know,
How much do I just love on my girl and take her home with me?
And the other end being,
Okay,
I gotta force her to get out and,
You know,
Be strong.
This is when these words came to me.
And so I wrote them with this very motherly feeling of love,
Togetherness,
And safety.
So my hope is that if you are experiencing a moment in your life when you are experiencing some anxiety or some fear or feeling alone,
Feeling scared of something,
I hope you can really find comfort in these words.
Sweet one,
Don't cry.
I will always be right here.
Sweet one,
I'm with you,
Even when I'm not near.
I see your tears escape.
Your eyes shine bright with fear.
I wrap my arms around you,
Hoping your mind will clear.
My body trembles in sync with your waves of pain,
But I can't seem to penetrate the walls you've built again.
So breathe in deep.
Down,
Down,
Down.
Feel yourself anchor in to the nourishing ground.
Sweet one,
I see you,
And all that swirls inside.
Sweet one,
Release it as one big,
Relieving tide.
Slow,
Slow,
Slow it down.
Feel the fear dissolve.
Feel it all resolve.
Now hold my hand as we step into the next moment now.
Feel the rush of courage infuse you all throughout.
The strength you need to become.
The person you're here to be is always here inside of you.
Just close your eyes and breathe.
I've wrapped you safe in my arms so you can grow strong and sure.
Now as you venture into the world,
You'll know how to endure.
Sweet one,
I'm here.
I'm always by your side.
Sweet one,
Don't fear.
I'll always be your guide.
Sweet one,
I see you,
And all your strength inside.
Sweet one,
Embrace it.
It rises like the tide.
Slow,
Slow,
Slow it down.
You are loved,
Sweet one.
Calm,
Calm,
Calmer now.
A new moment has begun.
Namaste.
Beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
