One of the most common comments that I get from our listeners is that they can't turn off their minds,
They can't shut off their minds.
And I just want to let you know that's completely normal.
Even after 20 plus years of meditating,
My mind still spins often during meditation.
So what meditation becomes is a practice of observing these thoughts and giving them an opportunity to move on by,
So more space opens up.
So if your mind is like mine and it's spinning during meditations at times,
Then I hope this meditation helps.
Slow it all down,
Melt into the ground,
Let it all go,
Sink soft and low.
When the thoughts keep on spinning,
Round and round they go,
When the voices keep on singing,
Louder and louder they grow.
Breathe yourself back to peace,
Flowing in,
Flowing out,
Feel the thoughts release,
Opening space throughout.
Slow it all down,
Melt into the ground,
Let it all go,
Sink soft and low.
Like leaves upon a tree,
Detaching from the branch,
Your thoughts catch the breeze,
No longer so attached,
Float,
Float,
Float away,
They all dissolve in time.
Everything will be okay,
Shut off your mind,
When thoughts have cleared,
When stillness is found,
This space is revered,
What's here is profound,
Can you hear what silence brings?
Can you feel the voice that sings?
Do your eyes well up with tears,
As sacred life becomes so clear?
Slow it all down,
Melt into the ground,
Let it all go,
Sink soft and low.
