Hello and welcome,
Thank you for being here with me right now.
Close that door behind you and let the hallway noise fade.
You don't have to be anywhere else.
It's just you and this quiet moment.
Settle wherever you are,
On the bed,
In a chair,
Maybe leaning back against a headboard.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth,
Like you're letting the entire day fall away.
Travel days can stretch you thin,
Airports and traffic and meetings,
Conversations where you are fully on,
And even after dinner or evening events,
Your mind may still be running.
So begin by simply noticing how your body feels right now.
No judgment,
No need to change,
Just notice.
Bring your attention to your shoulders,
They've likely been holding the weight of the day.
Let them drop just a little,
Let the tension slide down your arms and out through your hands.
Notice your chest and belly,
See if they've been tight or guarded and invite them to soften.
Let your breath move more freely now,
Unclench your jaw and smooth your forehead and let your eyes rest comfortably.
The conversations are finished,
The presentations are done,
The emails can wait until morning.
Imagine placing the entire day outside of the room,
Like setting down a room service tray you no longer need.
With each breath,
Feel your nervous system settling.
Your heartbeat slowing,
Your thoughts getting quieter.
This room is becoming a small sanctuary for you,
A temporary home where your only job is to recover your energy.
Let gratitude gently rise for how much you've handled today,
For the effort you gave,
For the safe travels that brought you right here.
Notice whether your body wants to sleep or simply rest,
Either is completely welcome.
This is the time for you to just unwind.
Take one more slow breath in,
Filling yourself with ease,
And exhale,
Releasing the last bits of pressure from the day.
Namaste.
