Hello everyone,
Welcome to the practice.
We will continue to train our attention and we are also learning to be aware,
Mindful of our bodies,
Of our breath.
If you think about it,
So many of us take our body for granted.
Some people call their body as a taxi for the brain.
I mean,
It's nice when it doesn't hurt,
It's nice when our body looks good,
When it's full of energy,
We are upset when we are tired and we feel that the body cannot cope with the demands,
With the pace and the reason we have.
And yet there is an incredibly big value in our capacity to be able to listen our body,
Listen what it has to say,
What signals it sends to our brain.
And it does send those signals every second,
Every moment.
Sometimes when we listen carefully,
We can sense that the body is tired before it's actually tired.
We can sense that we are in love,
That we are full of energy,
That we are hungry or thirsty,
That we are comfortable or uncomfortable.
It's like we are tuning into the seventh sense.
We become more connected,
More whole.
And our decisions can be made and formed by also these signals.
So I invite you to find a comfortable seat.
Perhaps you close your eyes as usual.
If it's not comfortable for you,
You can always keep your eyes open.
Just look down at the floor in front of you.
Perhaps you take a deep breath,
Perhaps you exhale fully and give yourself permission for the next few minutes.
You know,
Listen,
Train,
Practice.
Become aware of the space around you.
Sounds,
Temperature.
Just see if you can shift your attention and become aware of the body inside out.
And the first thing you can do is notice your feet.
Just sensing the ground below your feet.
Then you're noticing your hands,
Your fingers,
Your shoulders,
Support behind your back if you have one.
You may recognize the muscles around your face.
It gets soft in the area between your eyebrows,
Your cheekbones,
Your jaw.
You recognize your breath,
Your own breath,
Something that's been happening for many,
Many times already.
Every inhale and exhale,
You're witnessing it,
Observing it,
Feeling it.
There's no rush in taking that next inhale.
Your body knows.
Your body knows how to breathe.
And there's this profound sense of trust that you don't really need to do anything.
Your body is functioning on its own and you're listening with kindness,
With attention.
For just a few next seconds,
You can let go of control.
Simply listen.
And every time you get distracted with thoughts,
This is absolutely normal and natural.
You simply then make a choice and bring your attention back.
What's happening right here in this moment and in this moment?
See the moon.
And from here,
See if you can widen your attention and become aware of the whole body,
From the toes to the crown of your head.
You're aware of the heartbeat,
Of the breath,
And perhaps there's something uniquely yours,
Uniquely yours for this moment,
For this morning,
For this day.
You may notice soreness after the training,
After the workout last night.
You may notice comfort or discomfort.
You may even notice pain.
You may notice restlessness or fatigue,
Sleepiness.
See if you can stay with that,
So there's no need to change or move or fix or avoid.
Rather,
You're turning your face towards it,
Simply listening to what is it that your body has to say,
Has to offer in this moment.
It will change.
It will change.
What is it right here today?
And there is kindness and curiosity.
Whatever is happening is happening in this moment.
This welcoming nature,
The quality of yes is too.
And in your own time,
You again become aware of the space around you,
Sounds,
The aliveness around you.
And in your own time,
You will open your eyes,
Sense the difference in your state of mind,
In your state of being.
Maybe there is just 1% more calmness.
Perhaps take a deeper breath.
Perhaps you move and you set intention.
What is your next thing?
What is the next thing you will be doing?
I wish you a good day.
And I'll see you soon.
