Welcome to this guided sleep meditation.

Find a comfortable spot,

A comfortable position,

A place in your bed lying down with your arms by your side and your eyes closing.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.

Take another deep breath,

This time inhaling for four seconds.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Holding for four seconds.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And exhaling for four seconds.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Repeat this breathing exercise a few more times.

And each time allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Letting your bed support you now.

Letting yourself let go.

Letting go into dreamland.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Allow your body to completely relax.

And as you begin to let go,

Imagine a warm wave of relaxation washing over you.

And as you begin to let go,

Imagine a warm wave of relaxation washing over you.

Letting yourself sink deeper and deeper into relaxation with each breath.

And as you begin to let go,

Imagine a warm wave of relaxation washing over you.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

Picture yourself standing outside a curious old bookstore.

It's a quiet street,

And the sun is just starting to set.

The sign above the door reads,

The Book Nook.

And you feel drawn to it,

So you push open the door.

A little bell chimes above you as you step inside.

And you find yourself in a cozy and dimly lit space,

Filled with shelves upon shelves of books.

The scent of old books and the sound of creaking floorboards fills the air.

And as you take a deep breath,

You start to wander down the rows,

Exploring the books.

As you walk,

You notice that the titles on the shelves seem to shift and change.

Some books seem to call out to you,

As if they are waiting for you to pick them up.

And you reach out and grab one book in particular that catches your eye.

The book is a deep shade of blue,

With intricate gold lettering on the cover.

It feels heavy in your hands.

As you open the book,

You find yourself completely engrossed in the pages.

The words,

The images,

They seem to come to life in front of you.

Like you're being transported to a magical world.

You feel a sense of wonder and excitement as you explore this new world.

Time seems to stand still as you read on.

You slowly put the book down and you continue to wander through the rows of books in the old bookstore.

You notice that each book seems to hold a different story,

And a different experience,

Awaiting to be explored.

You pick up another book,

This time an old leather bound,

Tomb with faded gold lettering.

As you open it,

You feel a sense of nostalgia wash over you.

You can smell the old leather in the pages.

As you read the first few pages,

You find yourself now transported back in time to a different era.

You find yourself standing in a grand ballroom,

Surrounded by elegantly dressed men and women twirling around you on a dance floor.

You look and you feel the world around you.

You look and you feel the rustle of your own dress,

Or the crispness of your suit.

And you find yourself wanting to join the dance,

Feeling light,

Feeling carefree.

The music seems to fill the room,

And you feel a sense of joy,

Of happiness bubbling up inside you.

You continue to dance,

And you feel drawn to this place,

Like you've lived a lifetime there.

It's like this place represents a part of yourself that you've been missing.

You feel a sense of love,

Connection,

And belonging.

Things you yearn for.

You begin to feel this deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for this experience.

You take a deep breath in through your nose,

And you exhale through your mouth.

You close the book,

And you place it back on the shelf.

You feel a sense of fulfillment and completion.

You are ready to let go,

And you are ready to drift off into a peaceful sleep.

You sink deeper now into your bed.

You imagine yourself surrounded by a warm,

Comforting light.

This light fills your entire being,

Bringing a sense of calm,

Relaxation to every part of your body.

You feel safe,

You feel protected,

And you are at ease.

As you drift off into a deep and restful sleep tonight,

Repeat the following sleep countdown.

Your breath is slow,

Steady.

You are completely at ease.

Your thoughts are still and peaceful.
