I'm just going to invite you into a little practice.
With me.
Just for a couple of minutes.
Breath awareness.
So no particular breath pattern,
It's just a grounding,
Settling,
Calming exercise.
Just bringing you back to the body,
Back to the breath.
So just settle in where you are,
Perhaps close down your eyes or soften your gaze.
If you're sitting just.
Feel your sit bones.
On the feet.
Notice your feet on the floor.
And just feel how all of those feel.
And then just bring your attention to your breath.
Without trying to change it,
Consciously interfere with it.
Noticing it.
So notice.
As it comes in and out through the nose.
Allow that breath to settle into its own pace,
Its own cadence,
Its own depth and intensity.
Let's settle into a rhythm.
And just notice that.
As simple as that.
So just noticing the depth.
How low in the body is it travelling?
You send it all the way to the feet.
To the hand.
Lowering the belly.
Or is it just stopping at your chest?
No judgement,
There was no right,
There was no wrong,
It's just noticing.
Notice if that breath feels jaggedy or smooth.
Notice if it's deepening or lengthening.
Notice if you can hear the breath.
Notice.
It feels different in each nostril.
Notice if the temperature is the same as it comes in.
As It goes out.
And just spend some time noticing the breath,
Settling into it.
Feeling how it feels.
Notice if it's changed since you started noticing it and placing your attention on it.
Notice if it's slowed or softened or if it's exactly the same.
As when you started.
Spend as long as feels comfortable,
As feels nourishing,
As feels calming.
As long as you like.
Noticing your breath.
Your body.
Always with you.
Always just bringing your attention back.
To the breath.
And if the mind wanders,
It's fine,
The mind's just doing its job.
Just bring it back to the breath.
Into the noticing,
Not thinking,
Not judging,
Not making any stories about the breath,
But Simply.
Noticing it.
Noticing how it feels in this moment.
In this breath.
Be different tomorrow,
Be different yesterday.
Be different breath by breath,
Moment by moment.
Just noticing,
Noticing each breath.
Noticing the pauses.
Just between the buttons.
Noticing what you notice.
And what you do.
Allowing it to be exactly as it is.
