As we regulate our nervous system together in small,
Bite-sized practices,
You deserve this time to feel better.
Today's topic is ending cycles.
Sitting up tall in a chair,
Scan your body quickly from the top of your head all the way down to your feet,
Noticing sensations without judgment,
Observing any areas that are tight or tense,
Becoming aware of the place within where you store emotions,
Noticing without judgment how many burdens you carry that aren't even yours to carry,
Pain gets passed down through families,
Stories of suffering written into your DNA,
Generational trauma informing your life.
Now is the time to focus on your healing.
This time of self-reflection is so very important.
It's not selfish or indulgent,
But completely necessary.
Generations of pain and suffering end when you do your work.
Make the choice,
Drawing a line in the sand,
Standing tall,
It ends with me.
Generations after me will no longer inherit pain.
They will no longer be indoctrinated into fear.
By bravely choosing to heal from your past,
You release years of ingrained generational pain,
Passed down generation after generation,
Until no one even knows when the suffering began.
By choosing to do better than was done to you,
You break the chains of trauma.
You are not doomed to repeat the past.
You can create new cycles,
Cycles of love and understanding,
Cycles of peace and prosperity,
Blazing a path of recovery for future generations to follow in your footsteps.
You lead the way forward through kindness and compassion,
Shining light into the darkness,
Not allowing fear to stop you in your tracks.
The warrior feels fear,
But does not allow it to stop their progress.
Be proud of your journey.
Be proud of the work you have done.
Be proud of your legacy,
Passing down strength and resilience,
Healing the generations that came before and the generations to follow.
Your legacy is love.
You did that.
You broke the chains.
You created a whole new way forward.
Come back to your breath now,
Allowing your breath to find its own comfortable rhythm,
Sending gratitude into your body and mind for the ability to pause the busyness of your day for this brief moment of awareness and release.
