Namaste.
This is Kalyani.
There is an infinite source of wisdom and knowledge within each of us.
But the craziness of our everyday life often causes us to feel disconnected from this inner wisdom.
We don't feel like we have time to just stop and breathe.
We begin to ignore the quiet voice within.
We lose access to this inner wisdom and begin to look outside of ourselves for our answers.
This meditation was designed to reopen that line of communication to our higher self,
Awakening our spirit so that we can find the answers we seek within,
Instead of looking outside of ourselves.
So take some time to get comfortable in a place with few distractions around you.
Allow your eyes to gently close,
And begin to shift your awareness away from the world around you as you become curious about exploring your inner world,
Inviting your breath to just naturally slow down.
Not forcing a change in the breath,
But instead inviting the breath to simply flow in and out with as little effort possible.
The breath ebbs and flows,
No resistance,
Just ease,
Like the waves lapping at the beach.
Each exhalation draws out all stress and tension from our day,
And each inhalation brings in pure positive energy.
Take a moment to create your sankalpa,
Your intention for practicing.
It should be a short statement that is easy to remember.
For example,
I am connected,
Happy,
And whole.
State your intention as if it is already true.
Once you find the words of your personal intention,
Repeat it three times silently within.
Awaken your sense of hearing.
Begin to notice all of the different sounds around you,
Moving your attention from one sound to the next,
Getting closer and closer to your body.
Not labeling any sounds as good or bad,
But instead notice the ears hearing.
All sounds are simply vibrations.
We will hear all of these sounds and feel them.
We will hear all of these sounds and more as we practice together today.
Each time we hear a sound,
We have a choice to view that sound as a distraction or as a gentle reminder to keep our awareness within.
Now allow all of the external sounds to fade into the background as we move our total awareness to the sound of the breath as it moves in and out of the body,
Hearing the inhalation and hearing the exhalation.
Feel your eyes resting.
Outer vision is at ease as we awaken our inner vision.
Imagine now that we can see the breath as healing white light that moves in and out of the body.
Become curious and follow the breath,
Watching as it moves all the way down into the belly,
Then moves back up again.
Total awareness on seeing and feeling the breath as it moves in and out of the body,
Inviting the entire body to grow heavier and heavier as it sinks and melts into the support beneath you.
Allow yourself to be held and supported.
Consciously accept the support being offered.
Then bring the spotlight of your awareness to all parts where your body is held by the earth.
Back of the head supported,
Shoulders,
Arms,
And hands held.
Feel the back of the ribs softening and melting.
Back of the hips growing heavier and heavier.
Feel the back of the legs and heels supported and held.
The entire body heavy,
Softening and melting.
So heavy that to even lift a finger would be a challenge.
The whole body is heavy and sinking deeper and deeper.
Now let's imagine that at each of these points where we are held and supported,
We can grow roots deep into mother earth,
Getting grounded,
Anchored,
And secure.
In order for a tree to be strong and steady and to withstand all of life's storms,
It needs to grow roots that are deep and wide.
See or feel your roots growing deeper and deeper into the earth.
Now imagine that you can take all of your worries,
All of your sadness,
Anger,
And guilt,
And send it through your roots,
Deep into mother earth.
Like any good mother,
She wants to take all of your burdens from you.
Send her everything that no longer serves you.
Give her your anxiety and fear.
Let it travel down through your roots,
Growing empty,
Empty,
Empty.
Next,
See or feel that she is sending supportive,
Healing energy to you.
Sending energy up through your roots.
Allow that healing energy to spread throughout your entire body.
Growing lighter and brighter as a sensation of floating awakens within you.
Growing as light as a feather.
Each inhalation helps us to feel more buoyant,
Floating.
No boundaries as we grow lighter and lighter.
Now just for today,
Let's imagine that we can inhale through the sole of our left foot,
Up the left side of the body,
To the top of our head.
Then exhale down the right side of the body,
And out the sole of the foot.
Then switch,
Inhaling up the right side,
And exhaling down the left.
Now rotate from side to side,
And don't worry if you lose track.
Simply begin again,
Inhaling up one side of the body,
And down the other.
Then switch,
Total awareness on the rise and fall of the breath as it moves up one side of the body,
And down the other.
Continue to ride the wave of the breath up one side of the body,
And down the other.
Balancing the two energetic channels of energy within,
The Ida and the Pingala,
The Feminine and the Masculine,
The Lunar and Solar energy within,
As we find balance and ease.
Now without being in a hurry,
The next time you find yourself exhaling down the left side,
We'll release the effort of that breath,
Inviting the breath to simply fall in and fall out once more.
Then move your awareness to the base of your spine,
And imagine you can inhale through the center of the body up to the top of the head,
Exhaling from the top of the head down to the base of the spine.
Now,
Riding the wave of the breath up and down the center of the body,
Awakening Shoshona,
The central line of energy within our body.
And observe without judgment,
Does the breath have a clear channel to move through,
Or do we feel stuck anywhere?
Simply explore the breath moving up and down the spine,
Inviting freedom and ease into the breath.
Using the breath like a cleansing tool,
Begin to breathe out any blockages you discover within,
Giving the breath a clear channel to move through us.
Now move your attention to the space between the eyebrows.
Observe any sensation here.
This is the seat of our intuition and insight.
But we are not going to remain here at the surface level.
Together,
Let's imagine we can draw a white line of energy from the space between the eyebrows,
Straight back into the center of the mind.
See and feel this line of energy moving from the skin of the third eye,
Back deep into the center of the mind.
Keep the awareness on that line of energy as we move our attention up to the very top of the head,
And draw a second line from the top of the head down into the center of the mind.
Now see the point where the two lines touch as an orb of purple energy.
Rest your awareness on that purple orb of energy,
And observe that each inhalation helps the orb to grow,
Gently pushing all old thoughts out to the side.
See and feel the sensation of lightness as the orb grows larger and lighter,
Expanding the boundaries of the mind and body.
See the entire body encapsulated within this beautiful purple orb of energy,
Growing lighter and lighter,
As light as a feather.
Imagine ourselves rising up like a bubble riding on the cool breeze,
Going higher and higher,
Until we find ourselves resting comfortably on top of a puffy white cloud in the beautiful blue sky.
Let go of the maya,
The illusion of separation.
Feel as if the energy within reaches through the crown of the head,
Even higher into the sky,
And wraps around the sun.
Welcome the warmth of the sun.
See the sun's loving rays reaching out to gently warm your skin.
Bask in the warmth of connection and relaxation.
Feel the deep connection to the creative intelligence.
Observe the sensations in the body as a great power moves through you.
No longer alone.
Feel the deep connection to everything around you.
Feel how powerful your brain is.
How about your mind?
Can you become aware of your mind?
How big is your mind?
Then begin to feel as if the breath is breathing you.
The body is simply a clear channel for universal breath to move through you.
The inhale comes through beyond the soles of the feet,
Moves through the center of the body,
And extends through beyond the crown of the head.
A clear channel within for the breath to move through.
A universal breath allowing the connection to source to flow through us.
And if there is something that has been bothering you,
Be open now to see things from a different perspective.
By setting your attention to be open to receive,
You will see and recognize when you are being shown signs.
There is no pressure of time.
Simply rest in the stillness.
Feel the peace within,
And be willing to hear that inner guidance.
Think back to the beginning of this practice,
Remembering your sankalpa,
Your intention for practicing,
And repeat it again three times silently within.

Cultivate a sense of gratitude now for the enhanced clarity,
Wisdom,
And connection to your soul's purpose.
Gratitude for the ability to rest and recharge.
Gratitude for the gift of your breath and another day.
5.
Make a commitment to yourself to keep this line of communication to your higher self open.
Returning to this meditation each time you feel disconnected.
Allowing this meditation to lead you to a place of insight,
A feeling of wholeness,
And allow it to awaken your full potential.
Wishing for each of us a strong body,
A quiet mind,
And a gentle heart,
And deep gratitude to each other and all of our teachers.
