Take some time to prepare yourself for Prana Nidra.

Just like you prepare for Yoga Nidra.

Finding a comfortable position where you feel fully supported and at ease.

Check in with the temperature of the body and be sure to cover yourself so you can be comfortable as you drift off into relaxation.

Take the next few moments to find your center.

Inviting the breath to become calm and steady.

Letting out any stress from your day.

Letting go of all expectations.

And make a commitment to stay in the present moment.

Listening to the body with an open heart and mind.

Make any final adjustments to be sure that you can remain comfortable.

Resting in stillness for the entire duration of Prana Nidra.

Shift your awareness to the body.

Feel the weight of the body supported.

Allow the body to be steady and stable.

And welcome stillness throughout the entire body.

Wrap the entire body in awareness.

Allowing the body to grow heavy and sink into the support beneath you.

Welcome the gravity of the earth like a blanket protecting you.

Begin to observe the natural breath.

The breath in relation to the body.

Feeling the movement of the breath within the body.

Feel every movement in every muscle that helps the body draw the breath in and press the breath out.

Awaken the sense of hearing.

Notice all of the sounds around you.

Sounds outside of the room.

Sounds within the room.

Not judging the sounds or attempting to distinguish their origin.

Moving from one sound to the next.

All sounds are simply vibration,

Energy and frequency.

Feel the quality and texture of each sound.

Become aware of the cosmic energy that connects everything.

Letting go of the Maya,

The illusion of separation.

Feel the connection you have to everything around you.

Now is the time to set our sankopa.

Feel your healing sankopa.

A short positive statement that is easy to remember and heartfelt.

Give yourself this time to develop the wording of your healing intention.

And when you are ready,

Repeat your sankopa three times with feeling.

Feel a wave of healing energy flowing from body part to body part.

See each part illuminated by this healing white light.

Beginning at the top of the head,

The crown chakra,

Our center of pure awareness.

Unity with the divine.

Feel the scalp and the top of the head illuminated with the warm healing white light.

Flow the light down to Agna,

The third eye,

Our center of intuition and insight.

Feel the space between the eyebrows warming with bright purple light.

Follow that warm purple light straight back into the center of the mind.

Imagine that the breath can fill up that purple orb of light with every inhalation.

Gently pushing all thoughts to the side as we focus on that beautiful purple light growing in the center of the mind.

The wave of healing energy moves down to Vishuddha,

The throat center.

Our center of communication and purification.

See or feel the warm healing blue light on the neck and throat.

When we hold on to angry words,

The center can get blocked.

Make a commitment to speak only truth and to remember what you have to say holds value.

Feel the center opening.

That wave moves down to Anahata,

The heart center.

Our center of love,

Compassion and understanding.

Feel the healing energy flowing through the heart as this beautiful green light.

The entire heart surrounded and illuminated with emerald green healing light.

Feel an oozing sensation as the healing energy flows down the arms to the tips of the fingers.

And from the heart that energy flows down to Manipura,

The solar plexus.

Our center of energy and will.

See that light transforming now.

Imagine that light is yellow like the sun.

Radiant warm energy here at the solar plexus.

Each inhalation helps Manipura to become stronger and warmer.

This is our center of determination.

Power.

Our will.

Now allow that energy to flow down to Svarisana,

The navel center,

Just below the belly button.

Our center of creativity and reproduction.

See or feel the beautiful orange energy vibrating here.

Finally the wave moves down to Mooladhara,

The root chakra.

Our center of grounding and survival.

Feel the warm red energy moving from the base of the spine all the way down the legs to the tips of the toes.

The entire body now illuminated by this healing energy.

Feel all of these subtle energy centers reverberating and vibrating at once together.

Frankly,

일 beginning just fell completely from me.

Become aware of the natural breath flowing through your body.

Flowing from the base of the spine up to the crown of the head.

Inhaling up and exhaling down.

Riding the wave of the breath up and down the center of the body.

Shashuna.

Notice the soothing ebb and flow of the relaxed breath.

The breath moves up and down the body.

Flowing effortlessly in and out.

Becoming aware of a growing rhythm.

Aware of a growing,

Radiant,

Warming sensation at Manipura,

The solar plexus.

This is the home of prana shakti,

Where we store our energy,

Our determination,

Our will to survive and overcome all challenges.

Imagine the warmth of the sun here.

The welcoming heat into the solar plexus.

Hot like a summer's day.

The warmth of a campfire.

Manipura growing hot.

Hot.

Burning hot.

And just for today,

Let's imagine that we can breathe in and out of this center.

As we inhale,

That ball of radiant energy expands,

Growing larger,

Expanding in every direction.

And as we exhale,

The energy flows back to its source at Manipura.

Warmth spreading out with the inhalation and coming back to center with the exhalation.

Inhaling,

Expanding from Manipura down the arms and legs,

Then coming back to center.

Inhaling,

Expanding all the way up to the top of the head,

Then coming back to center.

The whole body growing comfortably warm.

As the healing energy expands from Manipura all the way out.

Illuminating each and every cell in the body.

The whole body surging and vibrating with prana.

Until the entire body is so full of energy that it begins to radiate out of every pore.

Illuminating the space around the body.

No boundaries.

Just radiant,

Vibrant light.

Continue to follow the natural pace of the easy breath as that energy expands larger and larger and larger.

That radiant energy fills up your entire room.

That vibrant energy fills up your entire home.

Growing larger,

Stronger,

Brighter.

Now relax all effort.

See or feel the whole body radiating the health and vitality of prana shakti.

Imagine how the body would feel if it was happy,

Healthy.

And full of joy.

Imagine your body as whole,

Healthy and happy.

See joy radiating from your face.

Imagine a smile across your mind and heart.

Happiness within and all around.

Radiant health within and all around.

Joy pulsating within and all around.

That radiant energy fills up your entire room.

Cultivate a deep sense of gratitude.

For all of the many blessings in your life.

Feel deep gratitude for the breath.

Deep gratitude for this practice and the community we are building.

Gratitude for our increased energy.

Deeply grateful for our improving health.

Now prepare to end this healing session by recalling the sankopa from the beginning of this practice.

Remember your intention for practicing.

Repeat it three times silently with complete faith that it will come true.

Begin to feel the body resting here comfortably.

Notice all of the points of contact between the body and the bed.

Welcome and accept the support beneath you.

You are always supported and held.

Never alone.

Seeing the eyes closed,

Just begin to picture the room around you.

Imagine the ceiling above you.

The walls surrounding you.

The floor supporting you.

Begin to notice the different sounds of the room once more.

Notice the weight of your clothes and the blanket.

Observe the temperature of the air as it moves in and compare it to the temperature of the air as it moves out.

Try to distinguish if one nostril is receiving more air or can you breathe equally through the right and left side.

Not changing anything.

Simple awareness.

Yoga Nidra is now complete.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

Meaning peace,

Peace,

Peace.
