This is Justin Michael Williams and welcome to your practice.
This practice was designed to help you in the moments when you feel like you don't belong or when you're worried about what other people think or when you simply need a little confidence boost.
And this practice involves a mirror.
So I want you to go somewhere right now where you can see your own reflection and any mirror will do.
Don't make this too complicated.
You only need to see your face.
So go ahead and pause this audio now.
Find a mirror and once you're standing in front of it,
Push play again.
Now standing in the mirror I want you to look yourself directly in the eyes.
And I want you to stand as close to the mirror as you possibly can and I mean until your lips are almost touching the mirror if possible.
Now you don't have to actually kiss the mirror but get as close as you can.
And then place a hand over your heart.
And now to start this practice I want you to look specifically into your right eye.
Your right eye.
And then I'm going to ask you to say a phrase ten times out loud to yourself.
And yes the first time you do it if this is your first time doing this practice I'm going to warn you you don't feel silly as fuck doing this at first.
But I guarantee you're gonna feel the resonance of this practice once you give it a shot.
So I'm gonna say the phrase to demonstrate with my name but when you do it obviously you're gonna replace my name with your name.
Here's the phrase that I want you to say ten times.
Justin you are so fucking magical.
Then you'll say it again.
Justin you are so fucking magical.
And you'll say this ten times but with your own name and I want you to really say it like you mean it.
So I'll stay silent now and give you some time to do it.
And practice this from your heart looking straight into your right eye affirming how magical you really are.
Go ahead and start right now.
Now if you're not done yet you can pause and keep going but if you're ready to continue now I want you to look into your left eye.
And you can do this while you're listening to me right now.
Notice the difference in the feeling between your right eye and your left eye.
You might even notice it's almost like two completely different personalities are staring back at you.
So now we're gonna send some of that energy to your left side.
And just like the other side I want you to say your name and you're so fucking magical ten times starting right now.
Now if you're not done yet you can pause this and keep going for as long as you want saying the affirmations but there's one more step.
If you're ready to move on go ahead and close your eyes wherever you are.
Place both of your hands over your heart feeling right in to your heart center.
And I want you to just drop into your practice right here.
Doesn't matter if you're standing up or if you're sitting I just want you to drop in for just a moment wherever you are and feel into the resonance of that mirror work.
Just feel whatever you feel.
Feel whatever you feel and breathe.
And take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And if you're ready open your eyes again.
Now I want you to remember that these types of practices where we're speaking about affirmations can sometimes be more of a band-aid than a permanent fix over our problems and that's because they don't really get to the root source of our problems.
But the thing that I do like about affirmations is that they can get you into a new headspace and they open your heart so that you can have the courage to do the deeper work.
Now you might take a moment to consider that when you're worrying about what other people are thinking of you that sometimes and oftentimes really this is just a projection of what you think about yourself.
So I want you to ask yourself where is it that you need to love yourself more?
How are you judging your own self?
And maybe think about a step that you can take sometime soon this week even of how you might prove these judgments and these limiting beliefs wrong.
This is the gateway to your healing.
