Hello my friends,
And welcome to today's meditation,
Where we are exploring trusting your voice.
Get comfortable,
And let your body feel fully supported by whatever is beneath you.
Close your eyes.
Breathe in slowly through your nose.
And exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Deep breath in.
And let it go.
Once more,
Inhale.
And release.
Let your whole body soften with that breath.
I want you to think about a specific moment.
When you held back.
When you had something to say and you swallowed it.
When you had something to create and you talked yourself out of it.
When you were about to be fully seen and you made yourself smaller instead.
Maybe recent,
Or maybe long ago.
We have all been there.
Most of us live there more than we'd like to admit.
Today we are releasing that.
We are coming back to the truth of who you are.
Someone whose voice matters.
Whose expression is needed.
Whose presence in this world is not an accident or a fault.
Take a breath in.
And as you exhale.
I want you to gently place a hand on your chest.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
And I'd like you to repeat these affirmations silently or aloud to yourself.
My voice is worthy of being heard.
I release the fear of being fully seen.
I no longer shrink to make others comfortable.
Speaking my truth is an act of courage.
And I am courageous.
Breathe in.
And release.
I trust the ideas that live inside me.
I trust the stories only I can tell.
My perspective is not a burden,
It's a gift.
I am allowed to take up space.
But the world does not need a quieter version of me.
The world needs me fully expressed,
Fully alive,
And fully present.
Take a slow breath in.
And let it go.
I release the need for permission to be myself.
I release the need for everyone to understand me.
I create because it is in me to create.
My voice is a gift,
And I choose to share it.
Stay here for a moment.
Feel what it's like to take up your full space.
Not performing.
Not shrinking.
Just fully,
Quietly yourself.
When you're ready,
Take one last deep breath in.
And release it completely.
Come back to the room around you.
And when you feel ready.
Open your eyes.
I like to return to this meditation when I know I need just a little bit of confidence in voicing my opinions or standing up for myself.
Your voice has always been enough.
Go use it.
Thank you friends for practicing with me.
I wish you all calm and comfort in your day.
