Hello caregivers.
This is a mindfulness meditation that is focused on massaging your hands.
And so to begin,
I'd like you to take a moment to simply gaze upon the palms of your hands,
Looking at all the lines and markings that individualize you.
And then turning your hands over and looking at the backs of your hands,
Your blood vessels,
Perhaps some wrinkles,
Just noticing.
And then your fingers,
Back and front,
Moving them gently as you do this.
And then looking at your nails,
Just noticing these very special parts of you that do so much for you every day.
And saying thank you.
And that's how we're going to begin.
With a small amount of,
I hope,
Special hand lotion that you've selected for this,
Or cream,
To massage your hands.
And because this is a mindful meditation,
We're going to begin our focus on gratitude.
So assuming you are comfortably seated and ready to go,
Let's begin with massaging,
Healing gratitude,
Using that special cream or lotion.
Healing gratitude for your beautiful hands that do so much for you every day.
Gently massaging in whatever way seems to feel good for you and comforting as you focus your hand movements on gratitude.
And to help you with this,
Let's breathe gratitude as you massage as well.
So we'll just take a couple of gratitude breaths together and then you can continue.
Breathing in and out.
Gently breathing gratitude in and out.
As you continue to massage,
Focusing on gratitude.
And then replenish your lotion or cream and begin to massage healing love into your hands.
And at the same time,
Breathing healing love energy in and out as you focus on healing love.
So let's breathe together as you continue your massage,
Gently making those movements very loving in nature.
Really allowing yourself to get in touch with that energy of love.
The way you would think of in caring for a child,
For example.
Let that kind of love energy seep into your mind,
Your thoughts as you are gently massaging your hands.
As we breathe together,
Breathing in love and out love.
And just feel it,
This energy moving in your body as you continue to massage easily and gently.
Breathing in again,
Love and out.
And next we're going to massage joy.
You may need to replenish your lotion or cream again.
And then just continue the massage,
Breathing the energy of healing joy into your hands.
And again,
You need to connect with that energy in order to feel it.
So think of something that makes you joyful.
Connect with that energy and then allow that energy to flow into the massage that you're doing.
Into your fingers,
Your palms,
The backs of your hands.
Allowing joy into all parts of your hands and fingers and then extending that into your body and mind.
Breathing joy with me,
Breathing joy in.
Breathing joy in.
Truly connecting with that energy of joy and allowing it to flow easily.
Then replenishing again if you need to.
And this time we're going to massage with the energy of peace.
So once again,
We need to find that energy within ourselves in order to be able to focus mindfully on what the energy of peace feels like.
And then begin to massage.
Massaging peaceful energy into your hands and fingers and moving upwards into your wrists as well,
If you haven't already.
Focusing on the energy of peace as you breathe in and out.
Energy of peace within your hands,
Peace within your mind.
Peace flowing effortlessly throughout your body and mind as you gently massage your hands.
Breathing peace in.
And then from these healing energies of gratitude,
Love,
Joy and peace,
If you had a wish for something that needs inner healing for you today,
Please focus on this now as you continue to gently massage the backs of your hands.
Imagining that this energy of inner healing is already beginning to take place within your being.
As you gently breathe in,
Relaxing your body and mind,
Allowing this energy to flow into the healing that you need today.
Gently breathing in and out.
And out.
And then ending our time together with your hands resting along your outer chest,
Elbows against the sides of your body,
Shoulders lowering and relaxing and softening.
Your face relaxed,
Particularly between your eyebrows and your lower jaw open slightly.
And just noticing how you're feeling.
Breathing into this relaxation now with me breathing in and out.
Your hands thanking you for the attention you have given them.
And allowing healing,
Gratitude,
Love,
Joy,
Peace and inner healing to gently flow throughout your body and mind as you continue to breathe slowly and gently and relax into this healing space of now.
And if you would like to return tomorrow and do this all over again with me,
