This evening wind down meditation is meant to help prepare your mind for a deep sleep.
Begin by lying on your back and get as comfortable as possible.
For this meditation I want you to breathe in and out through your nose.
If that's not comfortable for you that's okay.
Just breathe however you need to.
But breathing in and out through the nose is a more relaxing way to breathe,
Especially as you're preparing for a good night's sleep.
Do what works best for you right now and know that is 100% okay.
Begin by taking a deep full breath in and let it all out.
Again,
Full deep breath in and again let it all out.
One more full deep breath in.
One last full exhale.
Now come back to just a simple relaxed breathing pace.
Whatever feels good to you right now is how you're supposed to be breathing.
For this meditation I'm going to use some affirmations in the first part of the session.
Feel free to repeat the affirmations out loud or repeat them to yourself.
As we're entering into a deep state of relaxation,
We're planting positive seeds through affirmations.
And they can have a wonderful impact on the quality of sleep and your attitude when you wake up in the morning.
Tonight I let go of whatever happened today.
Tonight I let go of all of my responsibilities.
My mind and body gave all it could today.
I let go of any tense thoughts.
I let go of what I cannot control.
I forgive myself for any mistakes I may have made today.
I am grateful for this day,
Challenges and all.
I will go to sleep feeling calm and peaceful.
I am looking forward to the opportunities tomorrow may bring.
I will fall asleep knowing I am loved,
Worthy and enough.
