Hi there.
I know you've been tossing and turning,
Trying to get back to sleep,
And nothing has worked so far.
So here we are.
And I want to say thank you for making this choice,
To bring your awareness to the matter at hand,
To all that you get to do,
Which is put your efforts into release,
Relax,
Sleep.
And so in order to do this effectively,
We get to wash away the thoughts of the mind that are stalling the process of sleep right now.
So adjust yourself wherever you are.
Get really comfortable because your body wants to participate with your mind,
With your being,
In a beautiful,
Blissful sleep.
So once you've found this position,
Take a few deep breaths,
Expanding through the belly and the heart.
Hold the breath for a moment at the top,
And then sigh it out.
Let it go.
Take as many of these as you need now to land in the practice,
To release yourself into the,
I can and I will restore through sleep.
Maybe even making a little sound signifying your readiness.
And so now you can take a moment to recognize the thoughts that are coming in your mind.
Maybe there's a thought of,
I can't do this.
Okay.
Maybe there's a thought of what needs to happen or why you haven't been able to sleep until now.
And to these thoughts,
We can say,
Thank you for trying to keep me safe,
Trying to protect me.
I know that your intentions are good and balanced,
But I release you now.
And so as thoughts arise over the next minute,
Just say,
I release you now and maybe take a deep sigh.
I release you now.
And every time that a thought comes up in the mind and you can release that thought,
I release you now.
You can find yourself becoming more and more relaxed,
Ready to restore,
To sleep.
The body begins to feel heavy.
My body is so heavy.
I cannot move at all.
Surrendering to the pillow,
To your bed,
And to this sweet practice now of drifting off.
