When emotions hit like a hurricane, it can feel impossible to pause, breathe, and respond consciously. This guided meditation invites you to step into the space of your internal weather—your emotional triggers—and practice letting them pass without reacting. By cultivating presence and non-reactivity, you give yourself the chance to break old cycles, shift patterns that no longer serve you, and create space for a new, empowered way of responding. Whether you’re facing anger, sadness, frustration, or anxiety, this meditation offers a safe and supportive space to pause, breathe, and reset. Take a few minutes to calm the storm within and move toward clarity, choice, and transformation.

Hi,

It's Jordana here.

I've created this meditation for you to use when you're in the space of an emotional trigger.

Maybe this is an SOS moment,

So I'm glad you're here.

It's about when the weather is like a tornado or hurricane and we want to let it pass.

And I mean our internal weather because when we can let that weather pass and come from a place of non-reactivity,

We actually have the opportunity to really shift our destiny and to break a cycle or pattern that hasn't been working for us in the past.

So I'm really glad you're here and we're going to take a moment to pause together.

So find a comfortable position.

You can sit up or lay down if that feels better.

Your eyes can close or soften.

And then we'll start by taking a breath.

So bring your attention to your breath.

We're going to inhale slow through the nose and then exhale gently through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.

Let your body begin to settle.

Now bring your awareness to what's present inside you.

What is the emotional weather forecast right now?

Is it a storm?

A hurricane?

Anger,

Fear,

Shame?

Is there craving?

Is there fog?

Confusion,

Disconnection,

Or numbness?

Whatever it is,

Like a meteorologist,

You're just noticing it.

You're not changing it.

You're simply checking in.

Now the weather always shifts.

Storms move through the sky.

So I'd like you to really see this feeling as this weather,

As you've reported on as the meteorologist of your mind,

That this feeling is just the weather and it's a passing system.

It's moving through your internal sky.

You don't have to run after it or fight it.

You can simply wait,

Watch,

Until the weather changes.

Emotions are like clouds or rain.

Heavy or light,

Fast or slow,

But always moving.

You are the sky that holds them.

Wide,

Still,

Steady.

Notice if there is a place in your body where you feel this emotion,

The storm,

The most.

I want you to bring a hand gently to this part of your body and take a breath into the space.

In doing this,

You are creating room for the storm,

Not to fix it,

Just to give it space,

To let it be witnessed.

And with your hand here on your body,

You can repeat silently to yourself,

This too shall pass.

I can wait.

I don't have to act now.

Can you notice the difference between reacting and resting,

And between rushing and observing?

You are not this weather.

You are the one who watches the whole sky.

And when the weather shifts,

When the sky clears and calm returns,

This is the moment.

This is when you move,

You speak,

You choose.

That's when your next step comes from truth,

Not tension.

And you can give it all the time it needs to clear.

And that time is now and the time after now.

Let's take one more long breath in together.

Breathe in and relax the breath out the mouth.

You don't need to do anything else right now.

Just this pause,

Observe,

Let the weather change.

It will,

Your clarity will come.

Thank you so much for being here and choosing to pause instead of react.

Come back to this meditation any time you feel that you are activated.

You've got this.
