And today's practice is a journey to deep peace.
This is a guided meditation and visualization practice,
So allow yourself to get comfortable.
Whether you choose to sit up or lie down,
That's totally up to you.
Remember to let go of expectations and be here in this moment.
Know it's okay to have thoughts,
To simply be kind in your mind,
And gently come back to my voice or your breath if your mind drifts to a story.
Begin by taking some slow,
Long,
Deep breaths,
Inhaling slowly and deeply in and out through your nose.
You know peace is found within the deep silence and stillness of the heart,
Not the mind.
Your heart is calling you home in this moment,
And I am simply here to guide you.
Take another deep breath in,
And allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,
Welcoming everything you hear near and far,
Settling into the space around you.
Simply bring attention to the crown of your head.
Imagine the warmth of relaxation beginning to spread down from the top of your head over to your forehead.
Let this relaxation spread across your temples and over your eyes.
Allow your eyes to be heavy in their sockets.
Let your cheeks soften and your jaw relax.
Allow your teeth to part,
Loosening your jaw,
And let that ease spread down your neck.
This relaxation flows down deep into your shoulder muscles.
They are soothed,
They are released,
Allow yourself to melt into your mat or chair.
Breathing in,
You are breathing in,
And breathing out,
You are breathing out.
This peace and relaxation move down your arms and all the way to the tips of your fingers.
Your mind softens along with your body.
Your thoughts are weightless and distant,
Like little wisps of clouds in the sky.
Now this peaceful relaxation is flowing through your chest and your belly.
Simply pause here to feel the rise and fall of your chest,
The rise and fall of your belly when you breathe.
Now bring your attention to your back.
Allow the warm relaxation to slide down your spine.
Feel it spread across the back of your ribs.
Feel it travel into your lower body,
Your hips,
Your thighs.
It loosens and relaxes your large strong muscles.
Send this soothing sensation down into your knees,
Your lower legs.
Feel it soften your ankles,
All the way down to the soles of your feet.
Your entire body is peaceful and still.
You have covered your body in a soft loving layer of peace.
Feel how you feel in this moment.
Notice your heartbeat.
Notice the gentle wave of your breath without trying to control it.
With your body relaxed,
You are now ready to begin your inner journey.
The journey to inner silence and calm.
This time is a gift of peace and of connection to you.
Allow yourself in this moment to imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a secluded coastal cove.
It is untouched,
Serene,
And far away from anything that needs your attention.
The ocean stretches before you in shades of turquoise and deep sapphire,
Shimmering under the soft sunlight.
A warm salt-kissed breeze brushes across your skin.
You breathe in deeply,
Letting the fresh ocean air fill your lungs.
The scent of the sea mist,
The sun-warmed sand,
The distant trees create this calming blend that immediately eases your mind.
Look around and take in this sanctuary.
See the smooth,
Pale sand beneath your feet.
The gentle waves washing up in a rhythmic whisper.
You notice the towering cliffs on either side that cradle this hidden refuge.
They're like open arms.
The peacefulness of this place is palpable,
Inviting you to step forward and explore.
Take a slow step into the cove,
Feeling the cool sand.
With each step,
You feel more grounded,
Supported,
As if the earth and ocean are working together to hold you.
The sounds around you are soothing.
The quiet roll of waves,
The distant call of seabirds,
The soft rustle of a breeze weaving through the coastal grasses.
As you walk,
You notice pieces of shell glowing in the sun,
Soft whites and pinks,
Little hints of blues,
Each one reflecting light like tiny oceans in their own.
You notice a small,
Natural alcove created by smooth stones,
Gently curved by years of tides.
This little place calls to you.
You step in and carefully lower yourself onto the warm sand.
Your body feels supported,
And you feel held and welcomed like never before.
Your arms rest by your side.
Your muscles soften even more,
And a deep stillness settles in.
As you feel the warmth of the sun coating your skin,
You realize it's not too hot,
But perfectly soothing.
Allow that warmth to seep into your muscles,
Into every fiber of your being,
And into your heart.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh ocean air,
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing any remaining tension or stress.
You have no responsibilities here.
You are safe.
With each breath,
You feel more connected to this peaceful,
Loving space.
As you lie there,
Notice the small details around you.
Maybe a patch of sunlight reflecting off the water as it sends flickers of dancing light across the sand,
Or the saltiness in the air as the breeze carries right by you.
Immerse yourself in the peace of this place.
With every breath,
You feel lighter.
You are safe.
You are calm.
There is no rush,
No urgency,
Only stillness and serenity.
If thoughts arise,
Allow them to drift out to sea like little tiny boats on the horizon.
Simply return to your breath and stillness.
Return to the warmth you feel as you lie here.
You are safe.
You are whole.
You are peace.
Now,
Imagine a soft golden light gathering above you.
This light slowly lowers and surrounds you.
It is warm.
It is nurturing.
It is luminescent.
It wraps you in a blanket of peace and protection.
Feel that golden light flow through your entire being,
Soothing your mind even more,
Relaxing your body,
And nourishing your heart.
You are connected to this peaceful cove and the peace within you.
It grows stronger with every breath.
You are one with the earth.
You are one with the ocean.
You are one with the vast open sky.
There is a calmness that you have never felt before.
You are whole.
You are safe.
You are peace.
Now,
Allow yourself to come back to this present moment.
Connecting your body back to your breath and your breath to your body.
Noticing how you feel in this moment.
As your practice comes to a close,
Keep your eyes closed for a moment longer.
