Hello,
This is Jodi with Big Heart and today's meditation is all about surrender.
So go ahead and find a comfortable seat,
Sitting up or lying down,
Whatever works for you.
Gently close or cap your eyes and begin to take some slow,
Long,
Deep breaths in through your nose,
Out through your nose.
As we enter into the quiet stillness of this present moment,
We awaken to everything around us,
Without and within,
As it is for the first time,
Seeing with new eyes,
With an open heart,
Resting in peace.
Allow yourself a place of refuge in your heart.
Fall in love with this moment and surrender.
Breathing in,
You are breathing in,
And breathing out,
You are breathing out.
Simply keep witnessing your breath as it pulls you down into your body,
Letting go of any narrative you are currently playing in your mind,
And simply connect your body to your breath,
And your breath to your body.
Notice the rise and the fall of your chest as you breathe.
Begin to soften your shoulders,
Soften your brow,
Your temples.
Unclench your jaw if you are holding it tight.
Relax your arms from your shoulders all the way down to your wrists,
Into your palms and your fingertips.
Relax your legs from your hips all the way down through your knees,
Into your ankles,
Into the soles of your feet.
Allow this present moment to come alive.
Feel your whole body relaxed and still.
Engage with your integrity.
Connect to your heart.
I know you like to hold on to things and want control when it is not possible.
Realizing that trust can replace control is like finding a rainbow in a storm.
Surrender means you stop fighting and you start floating.
So let's do just that.
Let go of the heaviness.
Let go of the results and control.
Let go of limitations and attachments.
Grant yourself access to this present moment and accept it as it is.
Befriend trust.
Hold it in your hand.
Breathe it in like air and let it fill your lungs and your heart.
Know you are held.
Know you are safe.
Allow your heart to soften.
See yourself in this moment letting go of all things that weigh you down.
Visualize them physically coming off your body,
Like taking off a shirt,
One at a time.
Start with your ego.
Your expectations.
Your control.
Any negative thought patterns.
Your trauma.
Your comparison.
Whatever it is for you,
Let it go.
The weight is no longer on you.
Near you,
Beside you,
Inside of you.
It is gone.
Feel the softness.
Your tenderness.
Your heart.
That beautiful heart of yours.
You are light and airy.
You love yourself.
You feel your beauty.
Allow truth,
Beauty,
Purity and goodness to flow effortlessly through you and radiate all over.
You let go to let love in.
In this moment,
We are going to call forth surrender.
Our mantra is Pranidhana.
Pra on the inhale.
Nidhana on the exhale.
Pra Nidhana.
Listen for the sound and vibration of Pra on the inhale.
Nidhana on the exhale.
Let your mind be absorbed in the sound and vibration of this mantra.
And I will mind the time for a moment.
Pra Nidhana.
Pra Nidhana.
Pra Nidhana.
Pra Nidhana.
Pra Nidhana.
Pra Nidhana.
Now allow that mantra to drift off into the distance.
Just sit here in this space.
Allow your path to appear by letting go of control.
Surrender.
And trust.
As our practice comes to a close,
Keep your eyes closed for a moment longer.
Start to deepen your breath.
It's always important to come out of meditation slowly.
So take your time.
Allow this loving energy to take you through your day or evening.
Namaste.
