Hello,

This is Jodi with Big Heart and today we are going to do a short gratitude meditation.

So go ahead and find a comfortable seat in your chair or your cushion,

Sitting up in a nice relaxed position or lying down if that works better for you.

Gently close or cap your eyes and let your hands rest comfortably in your lap and remember to let go of all expectations and be here in this moment with me.

Take a deep breath in and release,

Allowing your body to settle into your seat.

Go ahead and close or cap your eyes and follow your gentle inhale and exhale.

Breathing in,

You are breathing in.

Breathing out,

You are breathing out.

Connecting your body to your breath and your breath to your body.

Allowing yourself to settle into your seat.

Really notice how your legs feel on your chair or cushion.

Notice how your hands are resting in your lap.

If you notice any tightness or tension in any place,

Release that now by taking another deep breath in and letting it go.

Softening your shoulders,

Your belly,

Your thighs and allowing your feet to rest.

Let's call forth gratitude into our awareness.

You know gratitude is the quality of being thankful,

The readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

You are alive today.

You are breathing in and out in this moment.

Also connect to your breath as you breathe and be grateful for the effortlessness of each breath that comes and goes.

You are listening.

Be grateful in this moment for your gift of hearing as it is allowing you to listen to this exact meditation which is what you need today.

You are walking and talking.

Call forth gratitude for your body and all the amazing things it does.

While you may wish you can change a part or two of your body,

Recognize its magnificence in this moment.

Your heart,

It is beating and pumping and allowing you to walk,

Talk,

Listen and breathe.

Appreciate each and every heartbeat.

Your heart space,

The love you give yourself and others.

Call forth gratitude for being here in this moment,

For recognizing that you need this time for you to fill your cup so that you may become the best version of you.

Remember when you are struggling to find peace or calm when things are crazy.

Remember if you find gratitude in the midst of a storm,

That's when you find grace.

That's when you find compassion and love.

And it's not always easy.

However,

There is something to always be grateful for and it starts with your breath.

Breathe into your heart space.

Connect your body to your breath in this moment.

Breathing in,

You are breathing in.

Breathing out,

You are breathing out.

Take a moment to put your hand on your belly and one on your heart.

Connecting your body to your breath.

Notice each and every breath you take.

The rise and the fall of your belly.

The rise and fall of your chest.

The movement.

The ease.

Notice your heartbeat.

Notice your pulse.

Notice the sensation of being alive in this moment.

The gratitude,

Thankfulness,

Appreciation.

I am grateful to be in this space with you.

Use our practice comes to a close,

Keep your eyes closed.

Allow yourself to take some deeper breaths in this moment.

We always want to come out of meditation slowly as this is still nourishment for your body.

Thank yourself for showing up today.

When you're ready,

You can go ahead and open your eyes with a downward gaze.

Namaste.
