Hello,
It's Jodi with Big Heart and today we are going to be doing a self-love meditation.
I'm gonna lead you through a short body scan,
Heart centered breath and then a mantra practice.
Our mantra today is aham prema which means I am divine love.
So go ahead and find a comfortable seat.
Allow yourself to settle into your space around you.
Remember it's okay to have thoughts.
Just be kind to yourself.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in,
In through your nose and release out through your nose.
Just allowing your body to settle into your seat.
If your eyes are still open just go ahead and close or cap them now.
Take another deep breath in and really fill your lungs and release.
Open your heart center and be in this present moment with me.
Take several more deep breaths in and just follow your gentle inhale and exhale as you allow your breath to pull you down into your body.
Letting go of your identity and realizing your power in this moment of just being.
You were meant to take time out of your day from that busy life of yours to be here now.
Settling in to the awareness of the body and the breath.
Breathing in you are breathing in.
Breathing out you are breathing out.
As we start our body scan just notice any places you are holding tension.
Starting at the top of your forehead simply soften your brow.
Soften your cheekbones.
Unclench your jaw if you are holding it tight.
Allow your shoulders to melt into your back and let go of any expectations you have in this moment.
Soften your chest and your belly and notice any sensations present.
Connecting your body to your breath and your breath to your body.
Relax your arms,
Your forearms,
Your palms and your fingertips.
Release any tension you have in your upper back,
Your middle back and your lower back.
Start to soften your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees and your calves.
Allow yourself to release any tightness or tension you have in this moment.
It's like water melting down a stream.
Just let it go.
Allow your whole body to settle in and be.
Breathing in you are breathing in.
Breathing out you are breathing out.
Connecting your body to your breath and your breath to your body.
Bring your attention to the rise and the fall of your chest as you breathe and let's connect with our heart centered breath.
See or imagine the center of your heart as a warm glowing light.
This light radiates from your heart center throughout your entire body.
This my friend is the light of your awareness.
This is your loving awareness.
Honor the ease in which you are breathing right now and tell your heart I love you.
There's nothing you are in need of right now.
Feel the love that you want to give to yourself.
Allow that beautiful heart of yours to lead you.
Breathe into the warmth that love embodies and let it envelop you.
You are exactly who you were meant to be.
Allow your heart to accept you as you.
No masks,
No lies,
No could have or would have or should have.
Let go of any pain.
Let go of any cycle or pattern that has defined you.
Simply breathe into your heart space.
Let the warm glowing light travel out of your heart center and radiate all over.
It's like the warm sun on your skin on a cool day.
It's beautiful.
It's soft.
It's you.
Allow all your emotions to be felt.
This is your tenderness,
Your calm and your stillness.
Allow your heart to continue to feel in this moment.
When we fill ourselves with love first,
We are able to share with those around us.
Embody the beauty you have within and allow your heart to lead you.
You,
My friend,
You deserve to be loved.
You deserve unconditional love.
You deserve to be in love and sit in love and love and love.
You deserve all of it.
So open and awaken this unconditional love inside of you.
Silently affirm,
Aham prema.
Aham on the inhale and prema on the exhale.
Silently repeat that mantra.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
I will mind the time for several minutes as you repeat this over and over.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
If you've noticed your attention has drifted,
Keep coming back to the mantra.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Aham prema.
Allow the mantra to drift off into the distance and sit in this space for a moment.
As our meditation practice comes to a close,
Keep your eyes closed.
Notice how your body feels.
Soak up all the goodness it brought to your heart today.
Start to stretch into the space around you.
And remember this is still nourishment for your body.
We always want to come out of meditation slowly,
Mindfully.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes with the downward gaze and remember the love you felt.
Namaste.
You
