Hello,

I'm Jessie Galvin.

Welcome to this guided meditation for connecting with your inner child.

Take a few moments to find a comfortable position that you can rest,

Either sitting or lying down.

And when you're ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep and slow breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Taking your time to allow yourself to settle into this now present moment.

As your awareness moves onto your breath,

You can relax your shoulders.

You can relax your belly.

And feel the floor or surface underneath you.

Completely holding you here.

Acknowledging that in this moment right now,

You are safe.

You are connected.

You are held.

So you feel your body gently arriving into the present moment.

Stay connected to the sensation of breath as it flows naturally in and out of your body.

With each breath in,

Imagine drawing in clear,

Clean energy.

Revitalizing your body and your energy field with every inhale.

As you exhale,

Allow your body to gently relax as you become more and more comfortable resting in this now present moment.

Take a few moments to breathe here.

Connecting with the sensations and the experience of your inhale and your exhale as your breath flows in its natural rhythm.

Now I invite you to see yourself in a beautiful and peaceful place.

Perhaps somewhere in nature,

Surrounded by lush greenery,

Clear blue skies.

Feel yourself arriving in this place.

Notice what you can see.

What you would hear.

What you would smell.

And the touch of the surface underneath your bare feet.

Give yourself a short while to rest here.

To explore a little bit.

To take in this beautiful,

Safe place that you are in your mind's eye.

As you settle into this safe place,

Invite your inner child to come and join you.

They may walk from the distance,

Or you may just notice them sitting or standing nearby you.

See them in this beautiful,

Safe place.

Notice what they're wearing.

How old they are.

Their energy.

And their emotional state in this moment right now.

Take a moment to greet your inner child in whatever way feels good for you.

Taking in their state.

Perhaps you just hold eye contact for a short while.

Perhaps you just hold eye contact for a short while and let them know that they are safe with you.

Maybe you extend a hand.

Or if it's okay with them,

You take a step towards one another.

Let them know that you are here to be with them.

To listen to them.

To connect with them.

And that whatever they need in this moment is okay.

As they become more accustomed to your presence,

You can ask them how they feel.

And what they need right now.

You can share with them that you see them.

You hear them.

You acknowledge how they feel right now.

That all of their feelings are valid.

And that there is a space for them to be felt.

You may notice emotions starting to arise within you or within your inner child.

Acknowledge that it is safe to feel your feelings.

That you are held.

That you are loved.

Take your time to be with your inner child as they feel all of their feelings in a safe and held environment with you there.

Once they have moved through their experience,

You can ask them what they need.

That may be a hug,

A loving embrace,

Or simply to know that they are not alone in this moment and this experience.

You can sit together in this experience.

You can sit together in this moment.

Surrounded by a beautiful golden light.

Creating a safe and loving space for your inner child to express themselves freely.

Offer your inner child your full presence as they share with you their thoughts,

Feelings,

And experiences.

Allow them to feel your love and acceptance as you remind them that you are always here for them no matter what.

As you make this connection and you've journeyed together,

You may like to spend a little time playing with your inner child.

Visualizing something you used to love when you were that age.

Sharing an experience that brings you joy,

That connects you both.

As you feel both of your energies settling,

You can make a choice.

You can ask your inner child if they would like to stay in this beautiful place knowing that they are safe and loved.

Or you can ask them if they'd like to come with you or you can ask them if they'd like to come with you knowing that your adult self will always be there to guide and protect you.

If you choose for your inner child to come with you,

Imagine them merging with your adult self now.

Feel your energies blending,

Creating a sense of wholeness.

Knowing that wherever your inner child was left,

They are always part of you.

They are always with you on some level beyond time and space and that they are always loved.

Feel your energy blending with your inner child,

Creating a sense of wholeness and integration.

Know that you are connected with your inner child on a deep level and that they are always part of you.

Take a few deep breaths take a few deep and slow breaths here to resettle yourself in your body,

To gently land back into this moment now.

We thank your inner child for their wisdom,

Their bravery and for stepping forward in this experience and sharing their presence with us now.

We send love to both the inner child and the adult self,

Learning to navigate the world and the complex emotions of being human.

Invite you to place your hands somewhere on your body that feels very loving and to take a few deep and slow breaths to feel this energy of love throughout your being.

We now take a deep clearing breath in through the nose and sigh it out through your mouth.

You can slowly wiggle your fingers and your toes and when you're ready,

Open your eyes and just tune in to your external surroundings here.
