Sometimes negative emotions are useful, but sometimes they can pile up and weigh you down. This meditation guides you into a deep relaxation and a process of loosening and letting go of some of the extra layers of negative emotion or thoughts patterns. *This meditation is not a substitute for professional medical care.

Transcript

Lie down on your back and get as comfortable as possible,

Letting the legs simply fall open to the side as the hips relax and tuck the shoulder blades slightly under the back so the arms are open with the palms facing up.

Make sure the neck is soft and lengthened using a pillow to support it if you like.

And then gently close your eyes.

Start to bring your attention to your breath.

Slowly and gradually beginning to deepen the breath.

Until the inhales and the exhales are an equal length.

Still effortless and natural.

And letting the muscles soften and sink down heavy.

Now imagine you can see the sky above you.

Pristine,

Clear blue sky with a radiant,

Shining sun.

Imagine you can inhale that luminescent quality directly from the sky.

And as it enters your body,

You see it feeding and nourishing each and every cell.

The energy spreads light,

Pushing the old stagnant or darker qualities residing in your being down further and further.

Further and further and further towards your feet.

Inhale receiving the luminescent energy and exhale moving all darkness and heaviness down towards the base of the feet.

With each and every inhale,

The old stagnant thoughts that are held throughout the body are being replaced with bright,

Healing light.

Until all of the darkness has exited down through the soles of the feet,

Being returned to the earth to be recycled.

Continue breathing like this,

Inhaling the cleansing energy and exhaling,

Releasing all negativity and anything that's no longer needed.

Keep visualizing until this feels complete for you.

Now the body is made completely of glowing,

Sparkling,

Positive energy.

Notice how your thoughts may have shifted.

Notice any subtle differences in the physical body.

And take a few moments to continue to be still and bask in this healing light.

You always have the power to return to this state with each and every new breath,

Cleansing and purifying.

Continue to relax for as long as you like.

And when you feel ready,

Softly open the eyes.

Begin to move the body.

Take a couple of deep breaths.

And enjoy your day.
