Thank you for joining me,
Jean Vetrano,
For this five-minute guided meditation.
Find yourself in a comfortable position and let yourself ease into stillness.
Your eyes can close if you'd like.
I invite you to scan through your body and see where can you let go of tension or any extra effort that isn't necessary in this very moment of sitting here.
What can you let fall away even if it's just for these few minutes?
You might sense your shoulders,
Your hips,
Your back,
The muscles in your face,
And invite them to relax,
To rest for right now.
Let your attention move to your breath.
Let yourself experience breathing,
This action that takes place without our thinking about it,
And enjoy following along,
Like watching gentle waves rise and fall.
There's no need to control it.
Just follow the breath in and the breath out.
When your mind wanders,
Just return again without any judgment.
I'll talk us through some phrases and you may say them to yourself or simply let the words as I say them gently wash over you.
In this moment,
I am breathing.
In this moment,
I am breathing.
Feel the movement of the breath through your whole body,
The whole body expanding and letting go,
Expanding and letting go,
Again and again.
In this moment,
I am breathing.
In this moment,
There's nothing more I need to do.
There's nothing more I need to say.
There's nothing more I need to be.
In this moment,
There's nothing more I need to do.
There's nothing more I need to say.
Nothing more I need to be.
In this moment,
I am enough.
In this moment,
This life is enough.
In this very moment,
I can enjoy simply being alive.
Alive with these feelings,
These sensations,
These thoughts that come and go without judgment,
Without attachment.
In this moment,
I can enjoy simply being alive.
Alive with these feelings,
These sensations,
These thoughts that come and go without any judgment,
Without attachment.
In this moment,
I am breathing.
Just this.
I get to enjoy just this.
The gift of receiving,
The gift of letting go.
Thank you for your practice.
May you have peace of mind.
May you have ease in your body.
May you feel loved.
You
