Getting this practice by just taking a moment to feel your feet on the earth.
Looking around your space.
Looking in the doors,
The windows,
The corners of the room.
And beginning to settle and turning the awareness inward.
Maybe closing the eyes or lowering the gaze.
And recognizing where are you coming from.
Allowing yourself to think about the performance that just took place.
And tuning into the experience.
And considering for a moment what's something that surprised you.
Something that you discovered.
Just allowing the mind to wander and think about it as much as you like.
Any moments of surprise or discovery.
And then allowing yourself to let it go.
Whatever happened,
That moment is over.
And it's time to gently let it go.
Taking a few rounds of tensing and releasing.
So beginning to tense all the muscles,
The facial muscles,
The fists,
The feet.
Tense tense tense tense tight tight tight.
And letting it go.
Releasing,
Relaxing.
And again tightening all the muscles,
Tense tight tight tight.
Like sucking on a sour lemon.
Squeeze and release.
Letting it go.
And one last time.
Tensing tensing tensing.
Tight tight tight.
Releasing as much as you can,
Face,
Body,
Feet.
And letting it go.
Letting it go.
And taking a moment just to feel anything that you're feeling.
Releasing the body,
The connection to the earth.
And bringing into the awareness now your name,
The time of the day that it is,
The place that you're in.
And taking a moment to offer yourself gratitude and acknowledgement for your bravery,
For the opportunity to perform,
For the goodness of sharing your gifts and expressing yourself.
And as you're ready,
Gently lifting the gaze,
Opening the eyes,
Taking in the space around you.
And inviting this presence into the next moment of your day.
Congratulations on your performance.
