Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation practice.
Maybe now you've found a position or a space in your home where you can really start to sink in and relax because when your body starts to move into that position or into that space,
You're starting to associate that with feelings of relaxation,
Of meditation,
And simply connecting inward.
And as always,
Once you get there,
Allowing your eyes to close and becoming a little bit more aware of your breath,
Noticing how you're currently breathing,
And by bringing your awareness here,
You might already start to notice that your breath begins to expand or extend.
It begins to lengthen.
You begin to direct that breath more into your belly.
Instead of a shallow breath in your chest,
You're bringing that air all the way down into your core,
Filling up,
And then letting it be released,
Allowing your body to soften,
Letting go of anything that happened before you hopped on this meditation,
And beginning to let go of any thoughts or worries about things that you have to do afterward,
Simply focusing on the present,
Knowing that this time is for you,
Releasing any tension through your face,
Maybe in your shoulders or your palms,
Or maybe in your legs and the soles of your feet,
Allowing your body to relax along with your mind as you continue to focus on your breath.
And then I'd like you to visualize a safe space.
It could be somewhere you've been before,
Somewhere you've dreamed about.
It could simply be the space that you're in right now,
Pulling up that image of that space in your mind and beginning to step into it,
Fully embodying what it would feel like if you were there right now.
Breathing it in and out.
And in this space,
You are the only person there,
So you can completely relax.
And in this space,
You feel completely safe.
There's nothing you need to do,
Nothing you need to say,
No one you need to prove yourself to.
Allowing yourself to take it in.
What does it look like?
What sounds are present?
What do you feel?
Are there any physical feelings,
The sun on your skin?
The air or the cool breeze on your back?
And how do you feel energetically?
What energy does this space bring to your body and to your mind?
Breathing it in and out.
And allowing yourself to come to sit or lay in this space.
Allowing all parts of your body to relax in this space.
Allowing all of your worries to begin to drop away.
Seeing that right now they aren't important.
And envisioning a bright glowing light appear around your heart.
This light represents safety,
It represents peace,
And it brings light and warmth to all parts of you.
As the light expands upwards through your shoulders,
Your face,
Replacing any tension,
Any stress with peace,
With calm.
And expanding downwards through each of your arms into your palms.
That warmth and light filling you up through your belly.
Through your hips.
Down each of your legs.
And into the soles of your feet.
Embracing that energy.
Feeling at peace.
Feeling completely calm.
And just basking in these feelings for a little while longer.
Breathing in and out.
And knowing that you can return to this space at any time whenever you need.
But for right now,
Beginning to let that visualization fade.
Continuing to focus on your breath.
As you begin to extend the length of your breath.
With your inhale bringing a little bit more awareness back to your space,
To your body.
Beginning to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Whatever you need to wake yourself back up.
And whenever you're ready,
Opening back up your eyes,
Noticing how you feel.
