So allowing yourself to get settled into your space,
Closing your eyes,
And just beginning by bringing your awareness to the connection between the bottom half of your body and the seat below you.
Perhaps noticing your back connected to the space as well.
And just allowing your awareness to drift into these four walls.
With these next few inhales and exhales,
See if you can allow your body just to begin to melt down into the space below you,
Almost as if the ground is completely holding the weight of your body.
And you allow yourself to sink a bit deeper below,
As if the energy of your body is merging with the earth.
Letting go of needing to do anything in particular here.
Just allowing the body to be soft and easy.
And beginning to turn all of your awareness inward.
Seeing if you can let go of any specific point or destination,
But just trying to feel your way to the opposite of the outer world.
Settling in,
Letting go.
Allowing your awareness to drift to the base of your spine now,
To your tailbone.
And just noticing that maybe certain energies are moving and ebbing and flowing that you might not have noticed before,
And that is completely normal and okay.
Just holding a gentle awareness at the tailbone.
And now you begin to imagine a grounding cord coming from the base of your spine,
Down through your seat,
Down through the floor in the building,
Down through the top of the earth,
Into the earth.
This cord can look however you like.
Perhaps it's the bottom of a tree,
A tree trunk and roots,
Maybe an anchor.
And this cord,
This tree trunk perhaps,
Begins to move down through the earth,
All the way down into the center of the earth.
Using all of your senses,
You begin to feel the power and the strength of this grounding cord.
And once it reaches the center of the earth,
It begins to wrap itself around three times,
Making sure that it is securely rooted below.
Taking a few breaths,
Noticing the top where it's connected to your spine and noticing the bottom where it's connected to the earth,
Pulling you down into your space,
Secure and safe.
And now you begin to allow this grounding cord to begin to pull any energies that aren't yours,
That no longer serve you,
Down into the earth.
So you notice that from the top of your head to the bottom of your body,
All this energy just begins to sink off of you and pour off down your cord,
Down into the earth,
Letting everything completely melt off of you,
Letting the earth recycle all of this energy.
Insert one minute.
And whenever you feel ready,
Just allowing yourself to begin to bring your awareness to the connection between your body and the seat below you and behind you once more.
Being aware of the space that your body occupies in space,
Noticing the sounds around you in all directions,
Feeling the sensation of gravity holding you down into your space,
Placing yourself behind your eyes,
Placing yourself inside of your body,
And just noticing that you are on the earth.
At your own pace,
Taking three long,
Slow,
Quiet,
Deep inhales and exhales in through the nostrils,
Out through the mouth,
Letting everything go.
And whenever you feel ready,
Just beginning to circle the hands and move the wrists,
Circling the feet and moving the ankles and just transitioning into stretching or moving any parts of your body that feel ready to stretch or move.
And whenever you feel ready,
You can go ahead and open your eyes.
