So allowing yourself to get settled into your space,
Closing your eyes,
And just beginning by bringing your awareness to the connection between the bottom half of your body and the seat below you.
Perhaps noticing your back connected to the space as well,
And just allowing your awareness to drift into these four walls.
With these next few inhales and exhales,
See if you can allow your body just to begin to melt down into the space below you,
Almost as if the ground is completely holding the weight of your body,
And you allow yourself to sink a bit deeper below,
As if the energy of your body is merging with the earth.
Letting go of needing to do anything in particular here,
Just allowing the body to be soft and easy,
And beginning to turn all of your awareness inward.
Seeing if you can let go of any specific point or destination,
But just trying to feel your way to the opposite of the outer world.
Settling in,
Letting go.
So in your mind's eye,
Now you begin to see this beautiful bright light appear before you.
This light is warm,
Safe,
Golden,
Inviting.
And here you also begin to see a door,
Cracked open,
Calling you towards it.
And as you begin to open this door and look in,
You happen to notice that a younger version of yourself is in this room,
Completely safe and free.
And whatever age appears to you is perfect.
And you walk in this gorgeous room filled with warm golden light,
And you walk over to this version of yourself,
And you reach your arms out,
And he or she begins to walk over towards you,
And place their tiny palms in yours.
And as you hold hands,
You begin to look at each other in the eyes,
Making a deep connection,
Feeling a sense of home.
And as you connect in here,
You begin to let your child know whatever it is that you want them to know right now.
Telling them perhaps you're sorry for being hard on them,
That maybe you'll listen to what their needs are now,
That maybe you've forgotten that they were there,
And you won't do it again.
Taking the time to express your feelings now.
There is no wrong or right here.
And connecting back in to their eyes once more,
This time you begin to notice some details.
Perhaps the clothes they're wearing,
The color of their hair,
Maybe the Kool-Aid or the chips around their mouth,
Maybe the toy next to them.
And you begin to ask them a question,
And with patience and reflection,
You simply listen.
What are you here to tell me today?
What do I need to know from you for my highest good?
Connecting in to their eyes once more,
You just spend a moment loving each other,
And as you begin to take your journey back home,
You decide you wish to leave this beautiful child with a gift.
Something perhaps they've always wanted.
So you go ahead and give that to them now,
In whatever shape and form it may take.
It could be strength,
It could be a game,
It could be a painting,
It could be a sound,
An experience,
Whatever it is they need.
And before you leave,
You see this beautiful light that they were engulfed in begin to merge with your heart space.
Feeling connected and one,
You allow this light to begin to move up through the top of your body into your head,
Down your arms,
Down your torso,
Down through your legs and your feet.
Just expanding this warm golden light of your inner child through your entire being,
Allowing it to expand out and far and wide as it wishes.
And whenever you feel ready,
Just allowing yourself to begin to bring your awareness to the connection between your body and the seat below you and behind you once more.
Becoming aware of the space that your body occupies in space,
Noticing the sounds around you in all directions,
Feeling the sensation of gravity holding you down into your space,
Placing yourself behind your eyes,
Placing yourself inside of your body,
And just noticing that you are on the earth at your own pace,
Taking three long,
Slow,
Quiet,
Deep inhales and exhales in through the nostrils,
Out through the mouth,
Letting everything go.
And whenever you feel ready,
Just beginning to circle the hands and move the wrists,
Circling the feet and moving the ankles and just transitioning into stretching or moving any parts of your body that feel ready to stretch or move.
And whenever you feel ready,
You can go ahead and open your eyes.
