Find a spot where you can sit comfortably.

If you're comfortable,

Close your eyes.

Or at least soften your gaze and let it fall toward the floor.

Bring your attention to your left palm.

Now bring your attention to your right palm.

Feel now both palms simultaneously.

Bring attention to your shoulders.

Torso,

Front and back.

Hips.

Bring attention to the left sole of your foot.

The right sole of your foot.

Bring attention to both soles of your feet simultaneously.

Welcome ease into the body.

Softening.

Opening.

Soothing.

Bring attention to your inner resource.

That part of you that is always whole is never harmed.

If helpful,

Connect with a memory in which you felt seen and heard,

Connected to,

Or a sense of belonging.

And welcome the truth that you always have within you,

The perfect response to each circumstance in your life.

Open your eyes.

Feel the air on your skin.

Welcome light and color.

Iโ€™m not currently having an anxiety attack but I going into a stressful situation. I think I would need a longer version if I was having an anxiety spiral. I found the teacherโ€™s voice soothing. I appreciated the suggestion to think of a person who I felt seen by. Thank you for offering this.
