I want you to take a moment to just get still.
Let go of any distractions that are around you.
Turn off your phone,
The TV.
Close yourself in a room if you need to escape from your kids or the dog.
And just take a moment to get still.
Maybe start with a clearing breath.
Inhale fully through the nose.
And release completely out of your mouth.
Doing that one more time.
Inhale fully.
And release.
Let it go.
And just taking a moment to settle in here.
Maybe you close your eyes.
Maybe you lie down or just find a comfortable seat.
Allow this space to get still.
So often when we're overwhelmed with worry,
Uncertainty,
It begins to consume our mind.
Manifesting as a form of anxiety,
Stress,
You can feel it in your body.
Taking over your thoughts,
Your mind.
Know that your feelings are valid.
It's okay to be scared.
It's okay to wonder what's next or what's to come.
Allow yourself to feel the fear.
But don't let the uncertainty form into a constant state of worry.
And I just want to share a couple of Bible verses to encourage you to pray over you.
For you to soak within yourselves.
And just allow God's Spirit to fill you.
To protect you.
To give you more ease in this moment.
So just starting with Matthew 6,
25 to 34.
Do not worry.
Therefore I tell you,
Do not worry about your life.
What you will eat or drink or about your body,
What you will wear.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes?
Look at the birds in the air.
They do not sow or weep or store away in barns.
And yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they are?
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
And why do you worry about your clothes?
See how the flowers of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin.
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all of his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God closed the grass of the field,
Which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire.
Will he not much more clothe you?
You of little faith.
So do not worry saying what shall we eat,
What shall we drink,
What shall we wear?
For the pagans run after all of these things and your Heavenly Father knows what you need.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all of these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore,
Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
So just allow yourself to soak in those words.
Do not worry.
Know that God knows every need that you have.
Has he not provided for you in the past?
Has he not made you stronger and got you through every situation?
Hold on to those blessings of the past.
Know that he is the same God who he was then as he is now.
Psalms 55 22 says,
Catch your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you.
You'll find that time and space to cry out to him.
Don't soak into the worry.
Say what you need.
Say exactly what you need for him to do.
Be bold,
Be specific,
Ask for what you need in this moment.
Nahum 1 and 7 says,
The Lord is good,
A refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him.
Can you allow yourself to trust God a little bit more today?
Can you allow yourself to be grateful for what you do have?
Find peace in any little thing or space or moment in your life today.
John 14 1,
Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You believe in a God,
Believe also in me.
It's talking Jesus.
Trust in God.
John 14 27 says,
Peace I leave with you.
My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Can you allow those words to soak in with you?
Can you find peace today?
Can you release the worry only for a moment?
Can you trust that God will make a way through this storm,
Through this time of uncertainty?
And I just want to pray a prayer over you today.
Maybe close your eyes,
Hold out your palms in a posture of receiving God.
Whoever is listening to this meditation,
To this prayer,
Let them feel your presence.
Let them know that you are with them,
That you are making a way through this storm,
That they do not have to worry and they do not have to be consumed with stress and pain and anxiety.
Will you touch them here in this moment,
God?
Will you give them peace to know that you will provide for them,
That you would give them everything that they need,
That they will not lack,
That they will not have to move through life with a spirit of scarcity or fear that their needs will not be met?
Will you make sure they have food on their table,
That they're able to remain in their homes,
That all of their bills will find a way to get paid?
God,
Will you come and move into their life in a magnificent way?
God,
Will you come and just wrap your arms around them,
Doing things that are above,
That can only come from you?
God,
Will you give them peace in this moment?
Will you help them to trust and know that you are God and God alone and you have the power to come in and change any situations?
Will you help them lead and lean more into you?
Help them to know that they're not alone?
Just take another moment here,
Allowing whatever shows up,
Whatever you feel,
Acknowledge it,
Name your feelings,
Name whatever you are experiencing and know that it's valid.
And again,
Know that it's okay to have this space of uncertainty and fear and feel what you're going through,
But not staying within that place.
Can you allow yourself to be present into today?
Identify the things that you are grateful for.
You are still living.
You're still breathing.
You're able to listen to this meditation and prayer right now.
There are so many pockets of things that you can find to be grateful for.
And I challenge you to grab a journal,
Pull out your phone and just note things until you can't think of anything else.
Just what you can be grateful for.
What is going right?
What can you change?
What can you not change?
Get into your word and allow God to move.
Give him that space.
Give him that permission.
I pray so many blessings over you.
When you're ready,
Just slowly take another deep breath in through the nose and release it out of your mouth.
Know that God's got you and you're not in this alone.
