Welcome.
Thank you for allowing me to participate with you in your journey to internalize the concept of maximizing minimalism.
Make yourself comfortable by sitting still or laying down.
Close your eyes.
Allow the muscles in your face,
Your neck,
And your shoulders to fall.
Help relax your body and mind by just listening to your breathing.
Breathe very deeply and very slowly.
Quiet your mind of any questions,
Responsibilities,
Thoughts,
And desires by just breathing deeply,
Staying relaxed,
And still.
Take a moment and appreciate yourself for making the time to listen to this meditation.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Let's begin.
In this meditation,
Minimalism will be referred to as the concept of reducing the clutter of physical items in a person's lifestyle by noticing the items that bring joy and necessity and eliminating what doesn't.
Take a deep breath in and out.
As you may already know,
The benefits to minimalism are having more physical space,
Lowering stress,
And helping to give you a feeling of peace.
Here are some resources to help plan and execute the journey to minimalism.
First,
Try these simple techniques.
Decide.
Decide you will minimize for five minutes today by using any or all of the techniques and practices in this meditation or in your own way.
Next,
Do your walk around.
Take five minutes and walk around your home and imagine what this space would look like,
How it could better serve you,
And how it could make you feel if it were minimized.
Start with places that offer the least clutter,
Like the bathroom cupboards or bedroom dresser or kitchen shelves,
Etc.
Next,
Purge in pieces.
Just one corner of one room to start by consolidating the items you are comfortable letting go.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Second,
Ask yourself focused questions.
Please repeat after me and try to answer on your own.
Which items have I not used in at least a year?
Which items have I not used in at least a year?
What non-sentimental items am I willing to part with?
What non-sentimental items am I willing to part with?
Who could benefit most from my sold or donated items?
Who could benefit most from my sold or donated items?
Take a deep breath in and out.
Third,
Finally,
Take action.
In your phone,
Set three 15-minute ongoing calendar reminders for item purges weekly,
Whereby resulting in you consolidating as many items as you are willing to part with to donate or sell to others who may benefit from minimizing.
This alone will help give you a feeling of accomplishment and the act of donating those items to others in need will give you a feeling of peace you deserve to have.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Please take a moment to appreciate and thank yourself for the discipline you've shown throughout this meditation.
Take all the time you need to just breathe and remember you can return to this meditation whenever you please.
Remember that the more you practice this meditation,
The faster and easier it will work for you.
Thank you for taking the time to begin to internalize the concept of maximizing minimalism and when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and let me leave you with these words,
It's a great day to be alive.
