Hi,
Welcome to Peacebeam.
Let us begin.
Step one,
Notice.
Just begin to notice how you're feeling today,
How your emotional state is.
Just check in.
How does it feel to be in your body today?
If you feel any tension in your neck and shoulders,
Just breathe and let it go.
Step two,
Breathe.
Just bring your focus now to your breath.
Continue breathing normally,
But just start to notice the breath moving in and out and just watch it for a few moments.
And now just gently extend your in-breath and your out-breath,
Just so that you're breathing a little deeper.
Very easy,
No strain.
Everything here is for ease.
And as you feel some ease start to arrive in your body,
Just imagine that your breath is moving in and out through your heart.
And just feel the rhythm of your heart and the rhythm of your breath begin to connect.
Step three,
Activate.
In lots of places around our planet today,
People are about to begin holidays.
And this is a time when we see and we hear the words peace and goodwill more often than usual.
And today we're really going to focus on those words because they go beyond any festival or holiday or celebration.
They're universal words of deep meaning to all humanity.
They point to the very best in us because peace and goodwill are actually states of consciousness rather than fleeting emotions.
And these states of consciousness are the result of a quiet and consistent practice of kindness,
Compassion,
Empathy and understanding.
Those qualities that are in you and they are made manifest in the world by your willingness to act in small ways.
And it really is a case of small is beautiful.
A smile,
A gentle word when it's needed,
Perhaps a choice not to speak when that's required.
These are the small acts that sow seeds of peace and goodwill.
Step four,
Beam.
So today as we move towards the end of another year,
Make an active choice to not just wish peace of goodwill,
But to be peace and goodwill.
Choose kindness,
Pity,
Sweet words,
Warm glances.
Choose your heart over your mind.
And may you be blessed with peace and goodwill always.
Have a beautiful day.
