This guided activation helps you be present. When we are in pain (or try to avoid being hurt) we often leave our body. Though the pain will be less prominent you are now less in touch with your body and what it needs. This is how burnout happens or (chronic) disease develops. We miss the signals from our body because we chose to be less present. Grounding is the fastest and best way to sync your energetic body with your physical body. It allows you to be present, feel your body & open your heart

Hi everyone,

Warm welcome.

I'm Iris van Ooyen.

And the tip,

The first tip that I share is about becoming present again,

Returning to your physical body.

And if you've left your body,

It means that there's a reason that you did not want to be present.

Either you were hurt or you were trying to avoid totally feeling the pain or the disappointment,

The frustration or the sadness of whatever is going on in your life.

And even if there's not a big event going on,

Know that unless you consciously ground every single day,

Chances are you're not fully present in your body.

And I see that in a lot of people.

And that's why I always say that the number one thing to do in pretty much any circumstance is to ground,

And that's what we'll do right now.

So I hope you turn down your phone and your email,

Anything you're not using to listen to this recording and giving yourself the permission to be fully present here in this call.

Give yourself the gift of a couple of minutes of undisturbed self care time,

And then place your feet firmly on the floor.

And if you're wearing high heels,

I recommend you take them off if you can,

Allowing the soles of your feet to touch as much of the floor as possible.

And then if you want,

You can place a hand on your lower belly to invite your breathing to deepen.

And then with every exhale,

Send your energy and your attention to your feet,

To the earth beneath you.

And just keep breathing in your own pace.

And with every exhale,

Give yourself permission to become more present.

And then let any excess energy in your head slowly trickle down,

Spread itself evenly throughout your physical body.

Slowly trickle down,

Spread itself evenly throughout your physical body.

And then from the soles of your feet,

Imagine roots growing into the earth just as if you were a tree.

And see,

Know or feel these roots growing downwards,

Sideways,

Creating a fast network of roots,

Acting as a counterweight against anything that's physically present above the surface.

Feel how you're becoming more aware of your physical body.

Maybe your feet are getting heavier.

You might notice tingling,

Difference in temperature.

Whatever it shows up like for you,

Just go with it.

And even if you don't feel a thing right now,

Know that it's happening.

Feel how your feet are getting heavier and heavier.

And then check the energetic cord at the bottom of your spine.

There's an energetic cord there,

Even if you're not aware.

And in your mind's eye,

Grab this cord and tuck it firmly into the center of the ear.

So it can help anchor and root you.

Helping you be centered and present.

Relax your shoulders.

And we're going to take a few deep breaths in together to fully top this off.

To fully align your body.

To fully align our energies and be entirely present.

Take a deep breath in.

And let it out.

Breathe in.

And release.

Final deep breath in together.

And let it out.

And send the intention for you to stay fully present for the rest of this day.

Allowing you to be aware of when you are leaving your body again.

And to be reminded to return by grounding.

Feel your feet and how they're resting on the floor.

Bring all of your energy,

Your awareness and your attention back into this call.

Into this dimension and into this room.

Will your fingers and your toes.

And whenever you're ready,

You can open up your eyes.

And know that this is a quick grounding exercise that you can return to as often as you want.

And I recommend that you do this at least twice every day.

At the beginning and at the end.
