Welcome to your Making It Happen meditation.
Find a comfortable seated position.
You may sit on the floor or in a chair.
Keep your back nice and straight.
Relax your shoulders and place your hands comfortably resting on your knees.
Then close down your eyes as you start to settle into your meditation.
Take a full breath in through your nose and a long breath out through your mouth.
Another full breath in and a long breath out.
Notice how with each breath your body is feeling heavy,
Relaxed and still.
As you sit here with your eyes closed,
Notice any sounds that are around you in this room.
Now I'd like you to extend your hearing to outside the room.
You might hear quiet sounds or louder ones.
Notice what sounds you can hear.
Bring your hearing back inside the room now and back into yourself.
We count backwards and as we do,
You feel your body becoming heavy and relaxed.
You feel safe and secure.
Here we go,
10,
9,
8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2 and 1.
You feel completely calm and peaceful.
I'd like you to think about someone who you're close to,
Maybe someone in your family or maybe even your best friend.
As you think about them,
Imagine them being here with you now.
How do you feel when you think of this person?
Is it a warm feeling,
Maybe glowing?
Notice what you feel when you think about this person.
As you think about them,
Notice this feeling growing inside you,
Filling up your whole body.
Now I'd like you to think about a goal that you'd like to accomplish.
Maybe it's something at school,
Maybe something at home or somewhere else.
It might be something that's new for you or it could be something that you're working to improve.
Think about why this goal is important to you.
Think about how completing this goal will make you feel.
You look to the side and you see a big object.
Walk over to it and find out what it is.
As you walk over,
You discover that it's a time machine.
Picture what your time machine looks like.
Its colour,
Its shape,
Maybe it's got lights flashing.
What kind of doors does it have?
Add all the details you'd like to your time machine.
You step inside the time machine and it starts to light up and move.
It whirls around.
Imagine yourself going forward in time.
The time machine whooshes through the timelines and soon you arrive at a time when you have completed your goal.
You step outside your time machine and you see your future self.
You're talking to your close family member or your friend.
You're telling them all about the goal that you've accomplished.
Picture it as clearly as you can.
Picture yourself and the other person.
Picture where you are and what you're saying.
Watch yourself telling this other person the wonderful news that you've completed your goal.
Now I'd like you to look back on everything that you did in the process of making your goal a success.
All the hard work,
All the effort you put in.
All the times that you kept going even though it was tough.
All the little things that you did to keep moving towards your goal.
Notice how it feels to be successful.
This feeling grows with each breath that you take.
Let this wonderful feeling fill your whole body.
The lights on your time machine start to flash.
It's time now to return.
You step into your time machine and it starts to move and whizz around again.
It's going to take us all the way back and we're going to count back from 10 as it does.
10,
9,
8,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2 and 1.
It's time to slowly bring your awareness back into the room.
Notice any sounds that are around you.
Extend your hearing now to outside the room.
Are there sounds that you can hear?
Either quiet sounds or loud ones.
Bring your hearing back inside the room and into yourself.
Become aware of your body sitting on the floor or in the chair.
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers and start to wiggle your toes.
Have a big,
Big stretch.
You may even have a yawn.
Give yourself a big hug and say to yourself,
I can do it.
I can do it.
And when you're ready,
Take a big,
Deep breath,
Smile and open your eyes.
Congratulations on completing today's meditation.
Namaste.
