Sleep is so crucial to our overall wellbeing.
So let us explore a sleep meditation together.
The theme of this meditation is restful sleep.
I will now take you through a guided meditation.
I will be here guiding you through the entire process.
In this meditation I will not use a bell at the end of the meditation.
I will simply leave it with a few moments of silence.
To hopefully help you fall asleep.
Start by finding a comfortable position and let us settle into our breath.
If you are laying down settle into the comfort of your surroundings.
Wristing your arms,
Comfortably by your side.
Notice how your body settles into the mattress or the floor.
Notice the support it provides to your body.
If you are traveling,
Find comfort in relaxing your body and resting your hands.
Notice how your body settles into the cushion or chair.
Notice the support it provides your body.
Allow your head to rest comfortably on a cushion,
Relaxing your neck.
Embrace relaxation in this moment.
Closing your eyes.
Take five conscious deep breaths as your body begins to settle into the sleep meditation.
And as you start to relax.
As you become more relaxed,
Notice the chatter of your mind starting to quiet.
When your mind wanders,
Come back to your breath as an anchor.
Focus.
Let any release,
Any tension you notice.
Start by relaxing your mind.
Being mindful of anything getting in the way of you falling asleep and let it go on the next exhale breath.
Just relax and soften your forehead.
Just allow for the possibility of sleep in this present moment.
Breathing into the relaxation and exhaling into the relaxation.
Relaxing your eyes,
Your jaw,
Allowing each area of your body to settle into the breath.
Relaxing your neck,
Your shoulders.
Today might have been heavy for you,
So release your burden and let it go on the next exhale breath.
Notice your breath is the natural rhythm and flow of your body.
Relaxing your spine.
Relaxing your left arm,
Your right arm.
Breathing into the possibility of sleep.
Relaxing your left leg,
Your right leg.
Your left foot,
Your right foot.
Exploring the sensations in your body.
Notice if you're feeling any aches or pains in a specific area.
Any numbness or tingling sensations.
Breathing into the aches or pains sensations and letting it go as you exhale.
Allowing each area of your body to settle into the possibility of sleep.
Simply let go of any expectations.
Remembering to be kind to yourself.
We'll take the next few moments in silence giving you the opportunity to continue to focus your breath as you mindfully maintain a relaxed state of being.
Let us explore the possibility of sleep in the stillness of this present moment.
Allow your breath to set the natural rhythm and flow of your body in preparation for sleep.
May we honor stillness,
Relaxation,
Sleep,
And peace in all of us.
Namaste and sweet dreams.
We'll see you in the next video.
Namaste.
Namaste.
