This might be a tough conversation for some,
But I hope you can stick with me through the discussion on healing from grief.
Everyone grieves in their own way.
It is a unique and individual process.
Meditation is similar in that regard,
Unique and individual.
It is about creating space and connecting with your inner self.
There is a vulnerability that comes with looking inward and exploring yourself at a deeper level.
It takes courage because meditation just isn't about the good stuff.
It is about finding balance and accepting who we are.
It is a work in progress and some days are easier than others.
Things come up in everyday life that bring up the past.
Meditation is not a way to escape your problems.
You still have to work through the grief,
But it does open up the opportunity to drop the narrative of the pain and instead focus on the feeling itself.
Healing from grief is not a linear,
Straightforward path.
It can be complex and uncertain.
You can feel like you are making progress and then something happens and it suddenly hits you all over again with intense sadness and pain.
Healing also doesn't have a prescribed time frame,
Requires self-care,
Compassion and patience.
Meditation can help in this healing journey.
So in your grief,
Honor them and love them.
I will now take you through a guided meditation.

Placing your feet flat on the ground with your hands resting comfortably in your lap or if you're seated on a cushion find a comfortable position with your hands resting comfortably in your lap closing your eyes if you prefer and become present still and relaxed in this moment observe the sensations of your body and notice what you are thinking as you become more relaxed notice the chatter of your mind starting to quiet when your mind wanders come back to the healing in this present moment being mindful of anything getting in your way and let it go in the next exhale breath gently release any tension you notice letting go of anything that might be getting in the way of you being here in this present moment remembering it's okay to have thoughts and when a thought occurs simply notice the thought without judgment and then let it go on the next exhale breath allowing each area of your body to settle into the breath allowing each area of your body to settle into the healing exploring the sensation in your body mindfully with curiosity and without judgment allowing your body to feel the emotions of grief allowing your body to feel the emotions of healing mindfully engaging your attention in the present moment on what you are experiencing without judgment for this meditation let us welcome everything and simply let go of any expectations at any point during the meditation if your mind starts to wander simply come back to your breath as an anchor of focus let it go for a moment and let it go for a moment remembering to be kind to yourself remembering to be patient and compassionate with yourself if there is something that you want to do that you want to do that you want to do and you don't want to do it all if there is grief in you then investigate it notice where you feel the grief in your body listen without having an answer settle into the peace that is always within you settle into your strength and your healing power within you breathe into the healing of your grief allow suffering to be and then let it pass cultivate compassion for yourself let it go for a moment and let it go for a moment let it go for a moment and let it pass cultivate compassion for yourself we'll take the next few moments in silence giving you the opportunity to continue to focus your breath and let it go for a moment and let it pass all keep track of the time as we take these moments in silence together let it go for a moment and let it pass let it go for a moment and let it pass you you you you you you you you you you you you you keeping your eyes closed as we integrate back from the meditation take as much time as you need to come out of the meditation slowly and mindfully start by wiggling your toes and fingers or any part of your body that feels right for you and when you're ready you can open your eyes thank you for joining me in this meditation and I hope you are able to find some healing and peace in your grief may we honor the healing,
