Today,
We are going to talk about non-attachment and surrender.
Surrender.
As I was sitting in contemplation with Source and Spirit of why I am having such pain and sometimes agony around non-attachment,
As I sift through the files in a very large folder of my life,
I can account for every time that I have been invited to yet another lesson in non-attachment.
For me,
It s usually around people.
People that have left,
People I have lost,
People that have moved on,
Family,
Friends,
Colleagues,
Etc.
I ve never really been attached to things or material or money.
I believe that is a tertiary experience to a secondary experience,
Or actually a primary experience of non-attachment.
What is the secondary one?
What I mean is that if we cannot understand that there is a lesson in non-attachment,
That means not to be attached to the outcome of anything in life,
Not emotionally,
Psychologically,
Or physically.
To enjoy at the same time.
If there is not enjoyment at the same time,
That is called detachment.
You have cut off a part of your feelings,
Your heart,
Your psyche,
In order to deal with the pain.
Sort of a band-aid effect,
Per se.
When we are attached to things,
Materialism,
Our paycheck,
Our job,
Our home,
That is an avoidance of dealing with non-attachment of people,
Of memories.
So the secondary is surrender.
Once we are able to let go of the stuff,
Air quotes,
In life,
Then we shift into surrender.
Surrender is where we have to be in order to get to non-attachment.
That is the message that I got today from Source.
Surrender.
I mean,
I ve always known to surrender.
I know the words surrender,
I ve written and I have performed meditations on surrendering.
I ve read texts about surrendering.
I get surrendering.
But this time,
You know,
It was on a brand new level.
Holly,
Surrender.
Surrender to what was,
What is,
And what could be.
Surrender.
That doesn t mean that I ve just nailed it today.
It means that I ve got the clear understanding,
Clearer than I ever had before.
So whilst all this time I am trying to practice non-attachment,
Non-attachment,
Non-attachment,
I m like,
Why isn t it working?
Because I have to first surrender.
I have to first practice surrendering.
How do I do that?
How do I practice surrendering?
Well,
It s living in the moment.
That is practicing living in the moment.
What are you doing now?
What are you doing now?
Observe what you re doing now.
It s not easy.
It is not easy.
But at least I realized I was skipping a step.
That s why I couldn t get there.
So I hope that this serves you well.
And practice surrendering.
Namaste.
