When was the last time you truly created space for yourself? If you are feeling like you simply need a moment for yourself, I encourage you to use this mediation. Take a moment to sit with yourself and visualize expanding from your heart's center. Allow yourself to be open and receptive to this expansion. As you expand, notice how you feel more grounded and present. You are creating space for yourself - mind, body, and soul. Breathe into this space and allow yourself to simply be.

Hello everyone and welcome to this mindful moment.

Today we're going to practice making space.

To find a comfortable position,

Could be seated,

Lying down.

Whatever position allows you to rest the body and find ease in the mind for the next few moments.

So as you settle in,

Grounding yourself,

Connecting to your body and this practice,

We'll begin to deepen the breath,

Becoming consciously aware of our inhale and our exhale.

If you'd like,

Now would be a good time to close your eyes or to simply soften your gaze.

And as we continue to connect to our bodies and allow them to be both strong as they hold us,

To also be soft.

And as you inhale,

Notice how your lungs expand and you create space within your body.

And on the exhale,

Slowly releasing.

As we create space through our breath,

Begin to visualize or have a sense of creating space from your heart center,

Expanding and allowing not only your breath,

But an expanded awareness of light and allowing life.

It is so important for us to be able to create space in our schedules.

On a daily basis,

It could be for moments like this,

In mindful presence and to create space in our bodies,

Continuing to feel that expansiveness in your chest,

In your lungs,

In your heart,

Continuing to feel connected,

Grounded.

When we create space within our personal timelines,

We open up possibility.

Sometimes that possibility is reconnecting to this moment through our breath.

Sometimes that possibility is creating space for creation,

Inspiration,

Play.

Sometimes that space allows us time to rest,

Recoup,

Reclaim our energy.

Continuing to connect to that expansive feeling in your body and feel it begin to expand into the awareness around your body and continue to expand past the body in connecting to the greater field that is around you.

When we create space,

We allow possibility and new perspectives.

We invite opportunity in the form of patience with ourselves and others.

We create an opportunity to realign and find our center again.

We create opportunity to connect to our rhythm,

Our natural rhythm that is unique to each and every one of us.

When we allow for this spaciousness in our personal timeline,

We allow ourselves spaciousness in our body.

It is a slowing down from the everyday hustle and bustle and usually very long to-do list that most of us seem to carry with us at all times.

Between family,

Work,

Personal endeavors,

The list seems to be endless.

And when we invite spaciousness,

We can hold that list with a little bit more space away from us,

Reconnecting to ourselves and our breath.

Continuing to hold that spacious feel in your body and in your auric field.

Continuing to feel grounded in this moment to the earth that supports and holds us.

When we create spaciousness in the body,

We can breathe a little deeper.

We can allow our thoughts to pass by.

We can have moments of spaciousness from triggering emotions.

Sometimes all we need is a few spacious breaths to help us build that expansive feeling.

And sometimes we need more time,

Greater lengths,

And that's okay too.

The invitation is to allow whatever space you need.

And I trust that each of you intuitively knows how much space that is.

And I trust you in choosing for yourself what that looks like.

Continuing to fill your lungs and expand.

And then rest in the exhale.

Jaw soft.

Tongue soft.

Shoulders relaxed.

Heart open.

Let's take a moment to use our breath.

And on the inhale,

Let's draw in one more time,

Beautiful opportunity to create space,

Drawing in with the breath,

Expanding through the heart and softening on the release.

Thank you for taking this time to create a little space in your day,

To create space in your body.

And take this moment of spaciousness with you for the rest of your day and remembering that space is only a breath away.

Can gently move your body,

Wiggle your toes,

Your fingers,

Blink your eyes open.

Take a few breaths to connect with your surroundings.

Thank you for the space that we shared together.

May you have a spacious and glorious day.
